Punching a seven year old over a sport...
YAY!!! I love people!!!
This is why soccer needs to be banned.. too many idiot fans..
....rattrap you do know you probably just brougth upon yourself a lot of hatred rigth?
For posting the truth? Soccer has way more fan violence than any other sport. I mean, seriously, what that fuck is wrong with a fan when they get to the point that it's not even okay to silently support a team other than your favorite one. It's not like the kid went into an opposing team's home town completely decked out in another teams gear and started yelling derogatory comments about the home team.
yeah well the thing is growing from a country that loves soccer, the whole idea he sugested is preposterous in most countries in latin america-and probably really cause you to get a whoping.
we as fans arent dangerous there is a bunch of nut jobs-hey the most popular sport in the world , we got millions of fans we are bound to get a few thousand of bad apples.-but so there are many many others in the world and for each sport.
dont spoil it for everyone when there is only one doing the transgresion.
It probably wasn't even Scotland fans. As far as I'm aware, real Scotland fans are welcomed and have a good reputation where ever they go. In these cases it sounds more some random idiot that took it as an excuse to beat up on someone, cause lets face it, sooner or later people like that will find any excuse.
If you're going to argue against someone, maybe you shouldn't say things that support his point.
Not that I'm in favor of banning football/soccer.
You know, I understand that the rest of the world likes soccer ("football") more than the United States. I don't know WHY, but I understand that's the way it is.
What I don't understand is the amount of violence surrounding the game. You hear stories like this, or like fans getting killed at games, or flares being tossed on the field, or the TEAM ITSELF being attacked at the airport.
Seriously. When was the last time an American Football player was attacked getting off the plane? Fans will bicker and trash talk, but you don't hear about this sort of violence nearly as often. When was the last time crowds stormed the field of a NFL game? Will you see fans of bitter rivals BBQ'ing in the parking lot before the game?
What makes this sport so appealing again?
I know nothing about soccer, but think it's a pretty fun and exercising sport. I never play though because I hate getting kicked in the shin. Plus all that running back n forth would kill me these days.

It's the fact it's a fast paced sport with hundreds of years of heritage. People get wound up and aggresive because it's something they love and support with all their hearts, just as their fathers and grandfathers did.
Football is a way of life in the UK, people live and breath the sport and therefore, when a complete moron drags his knuckles outside, looking for a fight, he choses to use football for an excuse.
Every sport has it's share of violent fans, however because football is on a much larger scale (a world wide scale, not just national), things get inflamed. So, what happens when Countries that have fought each other for centuries in combat and cold wars suddenly end up facing each other off in the world's largest sporting event? The press start drumming up support and bringing up old fueds. Violence kicks off. Football has little to do with it in the end.
Plus we all the the Scottish are just bitter about the whole William Wallace thing.... that doesn't help.
Get it up ye.
Agh! You missed an arse!
Hearing ths Spanish channels announcers yell "GOAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL!"
In hinesty, something has to be done about the violence.
That's not a soccer riot. I'll show ye a soccer riot!
