Okay, I just saw DOTM and I noticed something that I thought was a little... Different. The Energon spurting from the wounds and dead robots in this film was blood red. However, in ROTF, Energon was more of an orange color. Anyone else notice this? Thoughts on this?

In ROTF there was red Energon too [just pay attention to the Forest Fight, both Optimus and Megatron "spit" red Energon], that's because of the process within their bodies, that sometimes changes the color of the Energon [much like us, who obviously change the color of water to red].

Don't forget Ironhide was spitting out some greenish/yellow energon as well. Though I think that was so the kids didn't get frightened seeing a hero bot "bleed".

Are you sure that's energon and not their version of blood?

Remember than in this universe there are different species of Cybertronian.

I always thought energon was blue in here because Blackout died bleeding glowing blue stuff.

    Also, energon glows so...

In the first movie, the bots leaked glowey blue liquid. I assumed this was energon.

In ROTF there was orange/red and green (Ravage). I assume these were simply other vital fluids, like a car has many fluids of different colors to help it run.

In DOTM I only saw red.

I'm okay with other fluids showing up, but I thought it was a mistake to eliminate the glowing blue energon. I was also disappointing that they decided to ditch all other colors and make them straight up bleed red blood by the time of DOTM. That's just dumb.

They didnt get rid of the blue energon. When Optimus throws his axe into Megs chest he starts gushing glow blue stuff.

I guess it depends on where you hit them.

    Transmission fluid is deep red.

Also, Megatron still bled blue energon at the end of the movie.

Are we sure the color of it has nothing to do with the lack of energon they have now?

It sounds like the Transformers are going through a HUUGGEEE Energon shortage on earth, maybe the energon inside them is changing colors due to this, and also because its being mixed with the other fluids inside vehicles.

Maybe TFs have to synthesize Energon from matter they ingest, like metal, so when their bodies ingest and decompose the metal, their bodies break it down, and the process turns it into a sort of rust coloured material, thus turning their "blood" red.

I'm sure they have a coolant of some kind running through themselves as well.
