How big is Energon Tow-Line? I know he was sold as a Deluxe and stuff.....but that "battle port" or what ever you call it....well....makes the toy smaller 'n' crap.....so can someone post some pics of him standing near some other guys(don't care which dude....I just want to see what size he is in.:) )

Sorry if this doesn't make since.:)

    He's standard Energon deluxe height.

the battle platform didn't make him that much smaller, he's just skinnier all around because of it, aside from his wide body.

here you go mate. i have the ironhide repaint which is brilliant, i use him as my classics ironhide. he's the same size as dlx classics optimus and a tiny bit shorter than wfc optimus.
if you have the chance to get one i'd say get him, the mold in general seems to be one of the best energon molds. definitely on the autobot side anyway.

edit: sorry about the picture quality, took it on my phone.

I love the Tow-Line mold, i wish i had the Botcon Ironhide and Ratchet toys, so much better as the Classics counterparts.

    100% agree.
wish i had the ratchet version myself, i heard the classics mold is rubbish. at least i have a good ironhide stand in and a lot more g1 accurate too.

The way the front windows are pinned, i think they were orignally intended to swing out, so you could fit the wheels inside the torso, and offset the slouched pose problem.

I'm guessing cost cutting got in the way.

Alt mode has a lot of panel breaks, and the cheapish decos, esp on Ironhide, dont help either.

Henkei versions of both look a little better.

Energon Tow-Line is approximately 14 cm tall in robot mode, 9 cm wide. As a Van, he's 9 cm tall, 12 cm long, and 6.5 cm wide.

Energon Towline.. His sculpt screams Ratchet/Ironhide right down to the Base Platform yet he's given Skids deco. This is a fine example of A/E/C era craziness that at the time was enough to make my hair fall out :lol  Take Armada Wheeljack as another example.. the sculpt is Sideswipe but they end up calling him Wheeljack.. yet the name Sideswipe is given to a Character who very resembles Nightbeat and they name that character's Mini-Con Nightbeat. Crazy.
Energon Towline is a decent toy although for Ratchet & Ironhide the Classics figures work a little better IMO and can be had at a better price. To me, the Botcon versions while very nice, look like a younger version of their respective counterparts.. their faces don't look aged enough.

Oi. Too short to be a modernized Ratchet or Ironhide imho. Back to the drawing board.

To be fair, Armada Wheeljack's English name was already settled on before the design was. Apparently the toy turning out to look so Sideswipe-esque was rather unexpected by Hasbro.

As for the actual Armada Sideswipe, originally he was intended to be named Nightbeat, and his Minicon to be named Sideswipe, but during production the names accidently got switched and never got switched back.
