yeah this was fairly well talked about back in the day... they're not the same mold but they transform very very similiar.

I can't think of any off the top of my head right now. A lot of the Alternators cars share the same sort of transformation

It is indeed quite similar, so much so that some folks were calling E. Starscream a "remold" of Smokejumper, which is incorrect.

But yes, they do share a transformation sequence; a darn brilliant one, I might add.

I described Energon Starscream to a friend of mine as a 100% remold... to which he asked what illegal substance I had taken...

What I meant was he was essentially the same toy, transformed the same way and had the same articulation and design overall, just that all his parts were molded with different details. Starscream's bigger than Smokejumper though, and it was pretty much just borrowing the transformation. The best example is Cybertron Hardtop who shares form and transformation with Energon Sledge/Bonecrusher.

Also, G2 Jetfire and Cyb Thundercracker have nearly identical transformations. Sadly, Thundercracker comes nowhere as cool as Jetfire.

I was going to post the exact same thing... :lol

I would think that have hundreds of different transformers that there would be many that have the same type of transformations.
