I'd buy it. It's a good figure and I never had the chance to buy it.

    Same here, buddy.
Well, if Hasbro intends to repaint and re-release E-Scorponok as U.C.-Scorponok, I'm totally okay and gonna buy that one.

But if there's no hint to that way, probably gotta go hunt for E-Scorponok later on.

Sounds like a cool idea, though I'd prefer a new mold w/a city mode/Headmaster gimmick. My brother has Energon Scorponok & he's a pretty cool toy, if they did though I'd like him to be repainted in more G1-accurate colors so there's some sort of difference.

No! I really dislike the Energon Scorponok mold; while it's a nice homage, the arms just suck on the figure!

Would it REALLY be Scorponok if he DIDN'T have clawshovels for arms?

If I were Hasbro my number one repaint priority would be the Cybertron Defense bots over any other repaints.

Scorponok is perfect for a classics figure. Maybe if they re-painted him accurately

Well the only one left is Red Alert...and I'm betting we're gonna see a Preceptor out of him.

Maybe in hindsight a Headmaster Scorponok should be used and a base form should be added

I have Cybertron Dark Scorponok and he kicks so much ass. But I'm not interested in repaints.

Apex Prime did a nice digibash of E. Scorponok in G1 colors:

    http://www.tfw2005.com/radicons-customs/digibashes-3/universe-scorponok-165091/

And Spurt Reynolds did this beautiful custom:

    http://www.tfw2005.com/radicons-cus...nok-165619/?catid=searchresults&searchid=5600

As I said in Apex's thread, personally I'd buy a G1 repaint of Scorponok in a second. It's one of the best molds from AEC, and fits in just fine with Classics/Universe. It doesn't bother me that it's not a headmaster, or that it turns into a crazy scorpion-shaped bulldozer instead of a fortress... it's still a great interpretation of the character.

How about an IDW wave? Let's see Energon Scorponok as G1 Scorponok and CD Red Alert as Hardhead.

Sure, why not? The more updated Headmasters the better. :)  Though I admit, I think I'd actually prefer to see CD Red Alert repainted as Doubledealer.

As for Hardhead, I think my mold of choice for him would be... this may sound weird... an extensively remolded Beast Machines Tankor. I think with a new head, new hands, and a new turret that mold would make a fantastic Hardhead. Even speaking in terms of articulation, it's pretty much on par with the Classics figures.

And hey, while they're at it, how about a brown, spoiler-less Classics Rodimus repaint as Chromedome?

    I, uh... I like Headmasters. :p
