Are the decos exactly the same or are they different?
I think the're slightly different. I have the superlink version from when I went to HK two years ago. From the pics it looks like the only major change seems to be the flames on the spoiler which arent there in the american version. I dont have mine on hand with me at the moment. Colours also look lighter but that could just be me.
Confirmed. Don't have mine handy, but the flames are the most notable distinction between the two. Don't remember an overall color difference, but haven't looked at them since I got them.
Yeah, I've only got Superlink Rodimus but I've compared to it to the Energon version and the decos was one of the differences. I can't remember about the plastics though.
I have both. The superlink one has a darker red and a darker orange and extra flames on the spoiler. Its not massivly dark though. The quality also seems a slight bit better on the superlink one aswell....
(they look intresting super linked hehe.... but he is crap as a toppy....)
Edit: missed a word out!
Energon has gray parts, Superlink has black where the other has gray, and the flames on the spoiler are different. Superlink has flames on the spoiler.
Plus Superlink comes in a spiffy box.
Ok, need to find one now, I always dreamed about an Optimus/Rodimus combiner.
The black Superlink version is nice, too.
Loved the artwork for the Superlink series. Very different to the energon version.
I should point out neither version have the painted rectancular pipes near his smokestacks, shown as painted on packaging pics of both versions. This is presumebly due to the fact those pipes are on panels that form the bottom of his feet.
I have both, and I prefer the Superlink version. The darker red and the extra flames on the spoiler are very nice.
Separate names with a comma.
