energon re-release in TFU packaging out in malaysia

    I can only remember basics in TFU packaging before.

    UK never got Barricade :-(

    I remember these being available in the US. I think Big Lots carried them.

    Yeah, Big Lots had them, and at the one by my house they were shelfwarmers.

    Are they KO's, or Hasbro trying to get rid of stock?

    I doubt they're unsold old stock. It has been explained that the costs of gathering up all the unsold toys, sending them back to the packaging factory, making the new packages, having them all repackaged, and sending them back out, would cost far more than they would make back by selling them if they did move.

    However, these were sold at discount chains like Big Lots. Dollar stores like Family Dollar also got repacked basic figures for $5. The deluxes went for $7.

    Unless the unsold stock was on the factory level; never got to the packaging part and was replaced in TFU Packaging in order to keep selling them through the specialty stores like Dollar General. They certainly aren't KOs.
