Are these two molds any good? I've always wanted the landmine mold, and I watched a review of Quickstrike, but I figure the fandom is worth listening to for this one.

The reason I want the redecos is because they have matching color schemes.

I have the Landmine version of the first mold. I love it. One of my favorite toys from that line.

I briefly owned Bulkhead and thought he was nice as a big figure with loads of accessories.

I think Quickstrike is a really nice deco, looks really sharp. Somewhat regretting selling mine.

I had Landmine and Landquake and kept the redeco, decided I liked the colors more.

    Okay. Thanks for the tips.

Anyone else think they'd benefit from having Elite Guard symbols?

They stand out in a lackluster line. I think they're both pretty neat.

Just like Slugslinger on the Decepticon's side?

Also, I think it's neat how Landwhatever's armor also becomes part of his vehicle mode.

Oh, energon decepticons are vastly better than energon autobots, I think.

Since they didn't have the gimmick?

Yeah. I've been working on finding all the misc. parts to my Slugslinger.

So, if I can find the funds, try and get the two?

They're solid figures, worthwhile if you can get them for a reasonable price. Not the gems of the line by any means however.

If you want something good from Energon, I'd say go for some of the Omnicons or Shockblast.

I had all four. Damn good molds, and the weapons were brilliantly integrated. Arcee aside.

Shockblast you say? I guess I can go with him and Landquake instead of Quickstrike.

Energon Megatron, Starscream, Mirage, Scorponok, the Terrorcons. Even the Combaticons and Constructicons as standalone figures were done well.

    I meant this deco.

Wow, funny how most of the 'cons have better decos than the 'bots.

I absolutely love Landquake, he is my favorite Autobot mold from all of the Unicron Trilogy. Which is quite ironic, considering I had zero interest in him at the time and purchased him on clearance towards the end of Energon. Then I opened him. I was shocked at how chock-full of awesome he was. He was also the very first Transformer I had purchased that had the Transformation sound effect.

He's got a solid bot mold, a solid alt mode, then the complete vehicle mode looks great, and the brute bot mode is just fun. The standalone battlestation is a bit meh though, but at least the station can do something if you want the regular bot mode to be displayed.

On the Decepticon side, from the mainline (excluding the gestalts and Alpha Q), Scorponok was the only one to disapoint me. Those shoulders.

Landmine/quake is the better of the two because his power-up parts looks better in vehicle mode than Springer/Quickstrike's. As a stand alone figure, Springer/QS is pretty good but his Ed-209 unit looks horrible attached to the copter in bot mode.

Energon is my fav line after G1 (and related toylines) so I'm a bit biased - but a really cool feature if you ask me is to buy 2 of each combiner - combining 2 rodimus or 2 jetfire is just friggin awesome looking.

    1x rodimus = damn cool
    2x rodimi combined = damn cool...on steroids.

only thing I'd recomend avoiding from that line is fatso Optimus prime and the gestalts if you plan on combining them. Cool little guys seperatly though.

Rodimus and Towline are the two autobots worth picking up on their own.
