Energon Glut

    Not sure I ever posted these pics on this board before. I thought I had lost them, but finally found them buried in folders within folders on my backup external hard drive last night.

    Anyway, while Energon was on toy shelves I was in Grad school. No time or space to be opening and appreciating all the new molds. So instead I bought all of the toys(except for Cosmo-type Shadowhawk, lucky draws, and other rare exclusives like red deluxe Convoy and black Rodimus) and saved them all to open the whole line together as a graduation present to myself. (I actually didn't open Costco Prime/Overload at the time since I considered keeping it sealed, but I have since opened it) I opened the entirety of Energon on June 1st 2005 and here are some photos of the process:

    I like how it just keeps growing as you open the figures. Very nice.

    Nice sideshow... I have friends who never open their figures they would get a kick out of this. Thanks for sharing!

    Simply awesome

    Toys deserve to be freed from their plastic prisons, you did a great deed that day releasing so many!

    And if anything, it just goes to show once again, that no matter how bad an individual toy may be, when it's backed up by great numbers, then everything is awesome.

    you know, for as much crap as that series is given, it produced a surprising amount of good toys. nice collection!
