This is the final figure for my redone E Bruticus Maximus into G1 Combaticons.
I am waiting on a few touch ups to finish drying, that's why only Alt mode pics, but I'm getting anxious to show him off. This has taken quite a while to finish these.

I'll start off with some comparison pictures of E Barricade and G1 Onslaught along with the changes I've made.
Barricade is a great design that has homage to G1 Onslaught with a really big gun. One of the problems with some of the Energon figures is the exposed heads.
I was able to change the design enough to get rid of that.
G1 Onslaught was a really longggg truck.
I wanted to have a longer truck as well. Get ready, Here's the view of new Onslaught. with his BIG gun and long bed, minus the visable head.
Hopefully you like what you've seen so far. I'll go back to thumbnail pictures now.
    Here's more angles.
    [IMG][IMG]
I had to attach the rear wheels, further forward or it would have messed with the leg transformation. Other wise, it has the same amount of wheels but some are wider than others. The gun is actually two seperate guns with his hand held weapon stored in between them. To fire forward, you have to split the guns up and swing them around. If they had one more joint they would be able to swing up and forward.
    [IMG][IMG]
Here's a comparison of Barricade and the new Onslaught.
I'm at picture limit. more in next post.

    still has transport ability.
    [IMG][IMG]
I used parts from a Steamhammer and Wideload figures but the one on the right is messed up. I plan on changing it before Botcon. The parts are needed more for combining into Bruticus. there not perfect but they work. If you look inside the seating area, you can see the top of G1 Bruticus's head (ko). It is stored inside. I also flipped the spark crystal in Onslaught since the cab is no longer upside down to form Bruticus.
    [IMG][IMG]

    Now for Bot mode.
    [IMG][IMG]
Here you can see the back of bruticus's head and also, the torso mode.
    [IMG][IMG]

The combined mode will either be later today or tomorrow. Probably in a new thread. I will try to show a little tutorial, further down, in this topic. later

Here are some pics of the gun and a little tutorial (I think that's what you meant, Redline)

I, origonally, tried to have two guns that would attach to each other and then store, in between, the rail gun. It made for a pretty wide gun. The two side post would mount in the side of each rail gun and make them one.
I then realized I could modify the KO Onslaught gun and have it store, on the bed, in between the rail gun.
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Here is the mounting hole that I added to store the gun. This also shows the new swivel spot for the cab attachment and how the rail guns fold up. The back side of the KO Bruticus head. It has a connector from an E Stormjet and the mounting hole is in the piece, right behind the cab. (also, right above the back of the head).
    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Onslaughts new head is from a KO Onslaught but the sides had to be filed down a little. Down the center of the chest, is a cavity that seems like it was made for something to slide, up and down, in. I attached the KO Onslaught head, to a small block and then I have a long spring inside. There is a little bit of resistance so the head stays down, on its own. But the spring does help to get the head to slide up. (A slider handle could be placed in the bed of the truck but I didn't want to do that and then you couldn't have the mounting plate for the gun, there. The gun handle cannot reach the bed due to the hinge joint of the Barricade figure.)

With the Barricade head gone. The mounting point on top of the two piers, can be cut off (just the outer edges) and then reshape the center pin/pivot point, to fit in the pin spot for the head. (The black piece, in between the guns, below)

I will have to take some more pictures and add them later.

The arms can now be folded "up and forward" instead of "forward and up" but you will need to sand down alot of the plastic, that was origonally "outside" so they can fit together. Its the white panel, in the photo, below
    [IMG]

You will need to fill in a couple of molding holes when you have enough material removed unless you want to leave the holes exposed. A small amount of material will need to be removed from the rear, inside edge, of the door/swing panels. This photo shows the inside of the door/swing panels and how I attached the joints from an E Duststorm.

I had a terrible time removing the pins from them and that is how the one got messed up. ( I was taking the black and dark blue pieces from both E Duststorm and E Wideload) The second one is just the parts from Duststorm and the light blue parts are dyed black. If you don't change the joints from the doors, then the doors will be pointing straight forward on either side of the cab. (it looks stupid).
I wish they could extend down a little more to act like hip plates but they work okay to fill in a little, below the folded up arms, for combiner mode.

I will add some more details as I remember them or if you have a specific question then add a post, with it

Here's some more shots. Head up and head down. You can also see the tops of the posts that were cut off. I could have cut them lower but the base is where the rail guns are attached. (screws)

    Arm configuration for alt mode.
    [IMG][IMG]

Inside of cab where the new joints attach.
    [IMG][IMG]

    How's that, Redline?

    Enjoy.

    Impressive. Very nice work.

If I saw that in the store as Classics Onslaught, I'd buy it.

The moment of truth. I have three different hand versions. #1 is G1 homage.

    #2 is Energon homage.

#3 is the hands I have chosen for him to keep. (until better hands come along)

Back view. You can kinda see how swindle is hanging on.

    Having a little fun.

Thanks, onesock. I did see where you had posted that. That version of Swindle was pretty good from one of the origonal combiners. Again, Thanks.
