Not sure if there's anything really new here, but after seeing Megatroptimus' recent thread, I decided to do some more messing around with my "Bruticus" and take some pictures.

Bruticus: I decided to do something a little different here. Originally I had his legs as they were in the first picture, but they were a bit plain, and they didn't hold him up well (I don't like using the energon bits if I can help it). I reversed the legs, and now those annoying copter cockpits can form big feets! He still doesn't have proper fists, but I think I'm gonna work on that.

It's not the most solid leg mode... none of the parts are pegged in place, but he is pretty sturdy this way. I think the only real sacrifice here is his knees. However, he still has knee articulation further up on Barricade/Onslaught's legs... it's a bit high, but if it works for most of the Alternators, I guess it can work for Bruticus. :)

Also, with the backwards knee joint, you can put him in some of those dramatic swept-back curved-leg anime-style poses. :)

For ol' "Constructicon Maximus", I'm pretty sure a lot of people have done the same thing... but here are the pics anyway. This feels a lot more dynamic than the official transformation to me.

WOW! It's like getting an entirely new toy! And he actually looks pretty good in a bird legged stance. Thank you SMOG.

Glad you guys like 'em! :)

I love fan modes... sometimes it seems like the Has/Tak crew really misses out on what should have been the best configuration for a figure. Fortunately the Energon combiners are pretty flexible that way.

The sword I gave to Superion is actually from a Zoid... the Lightning Saix, I think. It's a big orange cheetah with a ripcord motor and a sword stuck to his back. The sword looks pretty bad on the Zoid, but it works great for Superion. It's also spring-loaded, so the blade fires off too. :)

I really like the feet you did for Bruticus. One thing I've learned from these sets is that if you sit and stare at it long enough, the limbs have many different configurations. My Constructicon Maximus has looked the same as yours since it came out of the package. Just wish I could find something that resembles a hand to go on the crane cabs. My Superion Maximus got an upgrade from RID Prime, attaching the leftover fists and feet with some Legos.

    Edit: added a picture...

I like transforming my E-Devs like SMOG here has, except I separate the legs on the arms so that he can have two pairs of arms on each arm. I use the crane as an extra "arm" as well.

That "Sky Lynx" mode for Superion is cool!! I wonder if the other two have any sort of beast mode... Opens up a whole new shelf to display them in if so.

It's a great sword for TFs isn't it? I wish I had more than one. :)

Neat! I should try something similar with those RID Magnus parts I have kicking around.

I kind of like the "clamps" look of using the crane cabs for hands with Constructicon Maximus. Fists would be better obviously, but I like the way it gives him a sort of brute gripping tool without having to attach extra energon junk to him. The official Hasbro transformations are so horribly awkward, you'd actually think they deliberately tried to make them as unimaginative and uncool as possible.

So you kind of cheated a bit, right? You swapped out one set of Jet legs for the others by popping the ball joints? I like the way it gives you the option of using the A-10's as arms while still using the FP upgrade parts. Even if it is "cheating", why not? At least it doesn't require even more additional kibble. :)

Skylynx is cool. I wonder if there's a way to try this with one of the Energon tanks, to get a more "G1" Skylynx vehicle combo?
