has anyone used the fansproject add ons for the energon Bruticus. if so how did it look? I did not get the ROTF edition, but want the add ons if it looks decent. Sorry if this has already been discussed. Just new to the site.

    Thanks

Mine is a mess, I used Energon "Brawl" and "Onslaught", I used OTFCC Helicopter for "Vortex" and the FP sets. He still looks awesome. I'm still after a non red clear plastic helicopter if anyone has one spare.

no thanks... the Universe/Rotf version is THE toy to use with those kits. When FP will put out the right color crossfires for this version, we'll talk again :D

maybe for the tank and helicoptor, but energon barricade IS the best center bot for the sets, there is no denying that

I have both sets reserved for a recolor that might or might not happen.

I can't afford a $250 toy for the foreseeable future. Do you guys think there will be an issue getting the pieces in say 6 month?

Yes in 6 months I think there will be a big problem getting hold of these considering now they are like $250 for a whole set.I'm glad I paid out for mine

I remember asking people on this forum if they wanted me to pick up some, long gone from Target, hanging around ROTF bruts from Zellers in Canada at cost (which was expensive at the time, $55). But people wanted it for $35. Too bad to everyone who missed out.

Just get the Fansproject items first if you can. I'm pretty sure you can get Barricade and extra limbs from the boards with relative ease, but the Fansproject stuff will make you eat your wallet.

I can and will deny. Barricade's vibrant blue doesn't fit with the military drab of the other figures. And all the parts are colour-matched to RotF Onslaught, so Barricade looks really odd and patchwork in his new vehicle mode.

In my opinion, the Energon version looks good in person than the pictures...maybe not as good as the ROTF version but still an awesome display piece.

I actually bought an extra Barricade to create two awesome bots with the extra crossfire set I got by accident.

Energon version is the one to go, ONLY if you're after anime accuracy.

For me, I'll prefer to use Energon Barricade, Kickback & Blackout to work with those FP packs. :D

I think the ROTF version looks -better,- but not G1 accurate. The military drab colors and the numbers on them has a really sharp look. But, I already owned the Energon versions, so I figured I'd save myself a boatload of money. And the Energon one doesn't look bad, it's just slightly less good ;)

I know the set is geared more for the ROTF version, but I'm perfectly happy with the way the upgrades turned out with the Energon figures.

I have a purple helicopter if anyone wants to buy it. I don't have any of the other combiners, cept for Barricade (plan on keeping cuz I like him,) and don't plan on finding the others or buying the set for after after market prices.

If anyones interested, hit me up with an offer. BEST OFFER WINZ! :)

Not really. Neither versions are anime accurate. Energon Barricade may be accurate to G1 Onslaught. But it becomes moot in combined Bruticus form. See for yourself.

If anything, the grey thighs on the ROTF version is a little more accurate. But the FP sets look best as mx-01 mentioned because the parts are colored match to the set.
