There seems to be a shortage of Generations and Reveal the Shield figures to go around, people are starting to get frustrated and it's starting to boil over. Here's a list I put together of end-of-the-line figures to show that this happens EVERY year especially during this part of the year. Even for people who have been around it seems to be worse. Is it because Hasbro is dropping us a lot of new molds instead of endless repaints? We veterans have learned to roll with the punches and either order online or just live with it. I can't tell you not to get frustrated, but hopefully we can moderate ourselves.

    07Q1 - Alternators Ravage & Rumble
    07Q1 - Classics Devastator
    07?? - Cybertron Leaders
    07?? - Cybertron Mini-cons
    ...

08Q1 - TFTM Voyager Premium Ironhide, Premium Blackout
08Q1 - TFTM Leader Premium Prime & Premium Megatron
08Q2 (April) - TFTM Deluxe Premium Jazz, Premium Bumblebee, Premium Barricade

    08Q4 - Animated Activators Cliffjumper & Dirge
08Q4 - Animated Voyager Shockwave, Skywarp
    08Q4 - Universe 2 Ultra Inferno & Vector Prime
    09Q1 - Universe Deluxe Ratchet & Hotshot
09Q1 - Universe Legend Cosmos, Warpath, Wheelie, Hot Rod
09Q1 - Universe Voyager Leo Prime, Overload
09Q1 - Animated Leader Roadbuster Magnus
09Q1 - Animated Voyager Wreckgar, Atomic Lugnut

09Q4 - Animated Deluxe Freeway Jazz, Electrostatic Soundwave
10Q1 - ROTF Scout Skystalker Wave
10Q1 - ROTF Deluxe Red Rampage, Evac
10Q1 - ROTF Voyager Mindwipe, Defender Optimus
10Q2 - ROTF Human Alliance Mudflap
    10Q3 - Universe Ultra Bruticus

    2011 (???)
Q1 - Generations Deluxe Kup, Scourge
Q1 - Generations Deluxe Thundercracker, Wheeljack
    Q1 - Generations Deluxe Warpath
Q1 - Generations Legend Optimus, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream
Q1 - Generations Legend Prowl, Trailcutter
Q1 - Reveal Shield Deluxe Wreckgar, G2 Optimus, Perceptor
Q1 - Reveal Shield Scout Windcharger Wave

    TRU Exclusives
    2008 Q3 Titanium Grimlock, Prowl
2010 Q1 Animated Deluxe Arcce, Cybertron Ratchet
2010 Q3 Animated Deluxe Rodimus, Ironhide

The good news is that some figures did show up later but the bad news is never in any large amounts.
Blue - Discounters such as TJMaxx, Marshalls, Ross, Family Dollar
    Green - Toys R Us

Also keep in mind we have no clue the plans for the wave that has Demolition Rumble in it (presumably with Bodyblock, Downshift and Windcharger and Chopsaw).

Also Generations is supposed to continue using the remolds from the instructions (I really want Black Shadow/Skyshadow or whatever they'll call it).

It's not the end of the world, but it is kind of annoying. I wish Hasbro could encourage retailers to stock more of a line's last wave, but I imagine it's hard to get retailers to ignore the fact that another movie line is on it's way. I've never been a fan of buying things online, but this particular drought might have me running to an online retailer at some point. There's too many great figures in the last wave of RTS, and the last waves of Generations to ignore.

I just wonder what stores are hoping to sell until May 15th. Here, save for a small RTS batch a few weeks ago, they've pretty much been selling the same toys since last September.

I just wish that Hasbro would just stop putting the stuff they KNOW we want in the last wave. They knew we'd want Wreck-Gar and Perceptor in spades, why didn't they just put them in wave 1 and move Fallback and Mindset to the last one?

who knows but there is a trend they did say they would run genarations beside the movie though but what if there talking about there will be only old stock intill the movie line moves over for the tf prime toys which im expecting there to be 4 voyagers 4 deluxes in the first wave so im saveing for that :D

but serously we need more infomation e.g.

is warpath going to be in other waves
what does the next wave have in it, this concerns me as we havent seen any leaked toys of the next lot genrations toys and warpath is nearly out by now we normaly see them leaked makeing me think

that we may see some of these classics remolds or repaints in the actul dark of the moon line just like takara has done with vortex......

The case assortments that they are offering retailers especially with these later waves have been stupid. I really don't understand how they have been coming up with these arrangements.

We've seen that Hasbro has no problems mixing lines (Armada in Energon, Energon in Cybertron, Cybertron if TFTM, etc) but thost are repaints. I don't think we've ever seen a case of Hasbro going back and putting the exact figure from one line back into another.

    EDIT: Maybe some minicons.

And a few of those found in Big Lots, like the Energon Deluxes and Basics.

I'm leery about the whole Hasbro saying Generations would run concurrent or continue while DOTM is instock... IIRC, they said the same thing about Univers 2.0 too.. before the 2nd movie and it died. I hate to say it, but I think they know we're a gullible, loyal bunch and will wait with baited breath until all of a sudden, lo and behold, they pull the rug out from under us. This year has been far worse than any other when it comes to the stores themselves not restocking as they should, especially Toys R Us and Wal-Mart. The two biggest toy retailers, and they're content to leave shelves bare, or restock with the same case assortments that they've been putting out for 6 months...or... I saw something today in a Wal-Mart that was shady as hell, but not wrong. They had places old ROTF products in front of every single peg of other toys. Generations and HFTD deluxes were behind Tuner Mudflap and all the scouts had brave little toasters in front of them on every peg.

I really hope Warpath, Demoltion Rumble and Downshift won't be hard to find.

Does anyone hope they'll come up in a abudance later on in the year like Universe Vector prime and Inferno or Animated Wreck-Gar and Atomic Lugnut.

It's a very high possibility that will happen, as the figures would have to go somewhere. I knew tons of people were relieved that after about 8 months after his initial release Inferno flooded TRUs across the country, after his spotty release at the end of 2008.

Ah yes, the "Universe" line. Maybe we'll see a Universe 3.0.

This is hasbro. It could easily never show up by going to Canada or Europe like Alternators Wheeljack, Cybertron Cryo-Scourge or Galvatron. The fact that the UK/Europe got Windcharger scares the sh*t out of me.

Some of those aren't 'End of Line' items. They are wave 1 stuff. Windcharger, Grapple & Legends Megatron are WAVE 1 RTS items.

The Wal-mart here 2 weeks ago had most of HFTD gone besides about 10 in total left. I checked two days ago and they restocked with only the HFTD Repaints and Voyager prime. Wouldn't it be smarter to under produce repaints like those but over the years they still do it in mass numbers.

Wow...I didn't realize how bad this pattern was. Does Hasbro realize that they have a problem? (I realize they probably don't care...that's pretty much a given.) But wow - that list of hard-to-find toys is depressing for a collector.
