I have a couple of questions concerning the end of Season 2 and construction of Autobot City. How many years has passed between the end of Season 2 and the construction of Autobot City? We see in the Japanese version Scramble City that Autobot City has just finished being built, did the Decepticons left for Cybertron right away or waited? Thanks
Assuming we take the airdate of the season 2 finale, it'd probably be 20 years of constructing Autobot City.
just thinking idk when the decepticon took over cybetron but tha is why the autobots made autobot city was so the autobots had some place else to go and it was 20 years into the future i think the decepticons took the cybetron in the year 2000 and the movie started out in 2005 so maybe5 years idk.
Not necessarily - there's no indication Autobot City started construction immediately at the end of season 2 is there? Maybe it only took a few years, in which case it started no later than 2002/03. For what it's worth, the Marvel UK continuity story "Ark Duty" has the city finished in 2003.
The cons already had Cybertron. The city is a power station built to supply the war effort and take back the planet. The question isn't when did the cons take cybertron. It's when and why did they seem to leave earth completely ?
Well see, I think it would've taken less time than it actually did. Cause Hoist and Grapple had started working on it. Then the Constructicons came along and started helping out, but that all lead to the city getting destroyed. So the Autobots had to start over from scratch.
well if you completely ran your opponent off planet why set up base anywhere else? im sure megs used the undersea base for something, but still no place like home. as for build time, well these are highly advanced beings here. given how many autobots came outta the wood work, and how earths people help the autobots, i wager it took less than a year. remember the construction crew could have easily have been the equipment too. that would add to less planning time, "you three take on these contruction vehicles and go to point c and begin working on--" something like that.
Do we know that they did? They could have kept using the Space Bridge and fighting on earth the entire time Autobot City was under construction, which would explain why it had such a well-armed defense mode. Though given how well the defense mode performed, maybe not.
During and after the Construction of Autobot City were they still counting on Teletraan-1 and the Ark or Prime just didn't wanted the Ark anymore?
If memory serves the Ark was still around in season three. Until it got destroyed. But it had an Autobot crew running it right up to the end so I guess it was still being used for something. Maybe it was a tourist attraction.
If we take the expanded Japanese continuity into account, construction of Autobot City began in 2003, as in the UK comics, following the arrival of Crosscut on Earth, who heralded an increased degree of Autobot-human interaction and co-operation (Metroplex/Scramble City is not Autobot City, and he was built in the late 1980s). "Story of Binaltech", meanwhile, tells us that the Decepticons made their big push to take over Cybertron in 2004 (yes, they have a strangehold on the planet for most of the cartoon, but they don't have FULL domination, as Autobots still operate on the planet - that domination, including the forcing of all Autobots off the planet, is achieved prior to the film), culminating in a huge space battle between the Autobot and Decepticon fleets that the Decepticons win in early 2005. That campaign leads to most troops from both sides pulling away from Earth and supply lines to the planet being cut, so while the Autobots remaining there are able to complete Autobot City and fortify their position on the planet, the few Decepticons still on Earth are defeated and forced off.
