Thanks for the links but I don't get the 'Already?' comment. The listing clearly shows they are to be released in February, 2012.

Blue-purple is accurate to The Headmasters animation.

All prior toys have used red though.

So I guess this is our first animation-accurate one.

Much like they did with Encore Trailbreaker's visor being blue instead of the original toy's red. ;)

Yeah, that's weak. Soundblaster was one of the rare Transformers that could have read his own tech spec stats!

It's not beyond the realm of the possibility that the finished Soundblaster toy will still have a red door - these are just promotional photos, after all. The cassettes are all photoshopped recolours, not the genuine articles.

I notice Stickers on the Cassettes - I'm not a fan of sticker especially on moulds where they may well fall off. (like Steeljaw).

That was the whole point of the Encore Cassettes being worth buying - the lack of stickers... though that said they did sort of forget to put the paint on the arms and they also should have put the pins in the other way around on Rumble & Frenzy's arms.
That is however fixable by unscrewing them and swapping parts over.

So anyway aside from the horrible stickers I do like them enough to get them even though I'm having to buy Twincast twice.

I do have to wonder though why does Twincast not have an Autobot logo on his door - that's always puzzled me.

    Speaking of which :

QUESTION : Out of all the modern reissues of Blaster which if any have a Steeljaw with Tampographs on it ?
a 1980's Japanese boxed set version of him had them (like Ravage seems to usually have) but most others had stickers in my experience like the 1980's carded release.

I just realised I don't have a Steeljaw with tampographs and i'd quite like one to match my Encore cassettes.

Anyone know what my best bet is ?

Oh never mind I just realised I was missing a cassette set that had Tampographed Steeljaw in it anyway so problem solved.

As I said, they're photoshopped images of pre-existing toys. I'd say it's almost a guarantee that the finished articles will have tampographs, rather than stickers. You can see on Enemy that he's got the arm stripes in robot mode, and is missing them in cassette mode (and that his forearms are different colours). And its got the thigh stickers the Encore release removed.

Cool. I hope Soundblaster keeps the different colored tape deck door. Adds some variation to the last reissue (which I already own) and helps to justify another purchase :D

It's also not a million miles away from the pinkish door MP3 Soundblaster has too.

I wonder, is the black Steeljaw a homage to the DotM Steeljaw?

was on the fence for awhile, but twincast is gonna get bought. I really dig his colors and cassettes you get with him, and I don't own the ehobby version already, so it's a nice pack for me.

Sometimes I get dejavu with this hobby. I swear I bought these already in a different reissue line........that's sarcasm. Nothing like repetitive reissues.

EDIT: Yes, Yes, I know. For the people who weren't into the hobby years ago who missed them.
