Hey, while we're on the subject of G1 re-issues, is E-Hobby going to do any new repaints from the Encore line? I'd LOVE a Red Hoist or a Blue or Yellow Trailbreaker ala the Diaclone line.
I hope so. I missed out on the TFCC reissue. Though I may still just try to get one of them since I like the new colors.
We have seen photos, and it'll be out next month. The second set of cassettes follow a month or two after that (I forget exactly when). I still want a Ramjet/Thrust twopack, Predaking and Piranacon. I'd even like multipacks of the smaller ones; a second Minibot set of Cliffjumper, Brawn, Windcharger, Beachcomber and Seaspray (though I don't know the status of the last two molds) and two more Cassette twopacks (one with Rumble/Frenzy, Overkill, and either Lazorbeak or someone I'm forgetting and a second with both Cassette combiners). Throw in Octane and Springer too. Of course, a lot of that requires those molds to still be in one piece and in Takara/Hasbro's hands, as always with reissue requests. Hopefully we'll get news of the next Encore release(s) by the end of the year. I've already been spending enough with RotF. My wallet could use a break, I admit.
i want scorponock, to go with my fort max (sure i would want a fort max reissue maybe, but it ain't goin to happen)
Has pictures of the box and figures been released? I've seen mock up photos of the figures but thats it. However, I thought they were just old G1 toys.
Check TFSource's listing for him here; he's shown right next to the next set of Cassettes. Technically I don't think a picture of the box has been seen yet, but same goes for the next Cassette set (unless I've missed something, which is possible): Encore #16 Bruticus - Combaticons Giftset
One would think we'd see an in-package shot by now since it's out next month... We have? I thought the only pics shown so far was of the original? I admit, I don't keep up with it as much as I should though....
I took the pics up on TFsource to be 'this is the Bruticus we'll be getting at the end of July, since I'd find it odd a vintage Bruticus rather than the actual reissue would be used on display at a convention to display a forthcoming product that isn't being used as a comparison piece (G1 to Movie versions, for example). However, since I'm not an expert on what a vintage G1 Bruticus would look like, it's possible that could not be the Encore version (I certainly wasn't there at whatever convention/show those pics were taken at). The stickers on the legs don't look to be in such good shape though.
That picture is indeed just a vintage version. We haven't yet seen the exact Encore release! Hope they don't do anything stupid, like "cartoon" colouring or such. I still haven't forgiven them for Trailbreaker/Hoist's eyes.
