Any encore rumors or findings on what is coming after the #17 Cassettes? Been quiet for a while...I guess due to the movie. Looks like a good opportunity to release Skids and Sideswipe.
There was an even longer gap between hearing about #12 Metroplex and #13 Trailbreaker. Everyone then speculated the line had beens scrapped. Don't worry, it'll be coming back. Having said that, hope it's not with Skids and Sideswipe - so far, the majority of the Encore reissues have avoided stepping on the toes of the previous Takara reissue line, TFC. Exceptions being Prime, Megs, Starscream (though the TFC one was "Anime Coloured"), Soundwave and Jazz (who was slightly modified). I'd like to see Encore continue to cover new ground - whoever thought we'd get Sky Lynx and Omega reissued? My vote goes for figures like Scorponok, or even some other Headmasters from the 1987 range. Something new. Cyclonus and/or Scourge would be sweet as well.
Well, the first releases were done to cash in the 2007 movie popularity so i can bet we could see Sideswipe & Skids again. Im pretty sure Omega & Sky Linx were a lucky choice due the Takara & Tomy merge, otherwise i doubt we would have them now
Skids and Side Swipe? They've already been re-re-released already. How about Wheeljack and Sunstreaker?
As long as the movie hype is in I say Encore is on hold for sale reasons take a character with a fmilier name from the movie, for example Sideswipe. Sunstreak and Wheeljack, ...what Nevermore said.
Let them ask the chinese KO companies to get the molds? It's funny how everyone is surprised why Hasbro/Tomy doesn't make new molds for G1 Sunstreaker, Hound, Wheeljack or Mirage. Simple answer is--- it cost less in China to make the molds and that's the reason, plain and simple. Molds were not lost or stolen, but can be easily duplicated and much cheaper in China. To reproduce a mold of an exsisting part, the procedure is as follows. a: Obtain the original part b: There are multiple ways to copy an original part (this is called reverse engineering) such as measuring the part, laser scanning, etc. c: This information can then be turned into data that will be used for CAD-CAM. (this stands for computer aided design & computer aided machining) d: A mold can then be produced with this data (depending on the country can be manufactured very economically) Therefore, original parts can be duplicated at a very low cost. e: To believe molds are stolen from such companies as Hasbro/Tomy to produce duplicate parts, is ridiculous!
sorry to ask this question for i'm sure its been asked a million times but how much longer till Encore Bruticus is reissued and why haven't we seen any photos of it yet? I want to buy it but i'm hoping the figure comes with an "anime" correct chest plate.
Fortress Maximus needs a reissue, I want him but I'm not willing to pay the original's price. I was also thinking that since we got Metroplex, why not Trypticon ?
Honestly, I think if TakaraTomy doesn't reissue Devastator this year, with all the movie hype around the character, it'll basically prove that they don't have the mold(s) any more. Since this seems to have turned into a "what I want reissued" thread, I'd like to see Thrust and Ramjet as a two-pack, ala Skywarp and Thundercracker. Those two haven't been reissued in a long time and it'd be great to have them to complete a Seeker set.
I'm hoping Hound gets the encore treatment. TFSource has Bruticus pushed back until next month. Then the second cassette pack is coming, I havent heard anything after that.
