Why am I taking a picture of the blaster? Because it once again is able to FIRE PROJECTILES. Yup, Takara kept him spring loaded. :D

    Now we're talking.

Too tired to give a detailed review. Will try to do so after some rest. :)

I love the way he's packaged the exact same way as the original, only with a plastic tray instead of styro.
...and is he chrome legged and rubber tired? Oh, that's settled it. I was on the fence about getting him, but now I'm sold.
Thanks for the pictures d00d! :)

'Tis a shame they aren't using styrofoam... good news on the launchers, wheels, and thighs... it's not tough to make the US release original launchers work tho.

that looks awesome, and so cool to be able to get something branb minty new that is essentially identical to the vintage toy. i actually wonder what compromises are made compared to original toys (if any)

Indeed he is! You're welcome.

I have a really nice almost complete Metroplex too. I'm impressed by how well the toy has aged. Even today he still looks almost new.

No problem   Haha, I will try. At work now so no time with fiddle with him. I agree, Metroplex does indeed look a little nude.

I did not know the US launchers could be made to work. You mean they left the springs inside them?

It'll prob sell less on eBay?  Haha, it was mentioned that there are some improvements on him over his original release, which includes an additional "tower" to his city mode. I've not had a chance to play with him in depth so I can't really give you an answer now. But needless to say, I'm almost completely satisfied. :)

when i mentioned 'compromises' i should have been more speciic, i wonder if the plastics used for the g1 reissues is similar in quality to vintage, im sure its not the same type/spec exactly, one would hope with technology that its actually better!

No, but it is very easy to source a spring and install it.
