I'm curious to find out where Encore is heading now, more Car Robots, something different, or if it goes straight to being dead again.

If it stays with Car Robots I'd like to see Gigatron and Black Convoy.

 

They probably werent gang molded with the figures so thats why they werent included. I cant say I agree with you on the jumpstarters guns though. They werent horrible, but they were far from great. The guns that hid the stupid gimmick feature best was slugslinger of course and highbrow in my opinion. The voyagers guns were the worst such as broadside and astrotrain. Octane got lucky to get a non gimmick gun included in the set. Im not a big fan of gimmick guns to begin with. Guys like me keep Dr. Wu and Renderform busy.

 

How the hell are they justifying around $280.00 for God Fire Convoy? Insanity.

 

This isn't for me as I never got into RID or Carrobots, and I already own Fire Convoy and Magnus, so I'd rather put that money toward Grand Max.

However, I know what you mean. I'd love for all four of these figures to come out, with some sort of retcon making them a team, perhaps? That would make them all a team of six Jumpstarters.

Ugh, gotten all the other Takara deluxes, but not sure that I desperately need seconds of the jumpstarters. Already have the Hasbro and third party versions of characters I don't have much of an affinity for.

I remember ordering Convoy and Magnus on ebay just 7 years ago for about $160. And after seeing that price I might just dig in my storage boxes in the den and remind myself the original is just fine. But yeah....I would love a new version.

 

thats great about the target master BUT I WANT A POINTBLANK AND THE OTHER TWO!!!!!! just seeing those target masters here in my house would piss me off without their proper bots holding them...

 

I've always wanted these two. I was trying to convince myself that I could justify the price for just Optimus. Couldn't do it, lol.

Then i saw Magnus was included, ah ok, I'm in!

 

I hate that price tag but the fact that Optimus Prime doesn't have chrome paint on his chest (from the looks of it at least) this time makes this set worth buying for me. I always disliked it that the original had chrome on such a noticeable area like the chest because it flakes off so easily. It's my favorite Optimus Prime figure too but that's always been my biggest gripe about it.

 

Erm...The Super God Sword that is included this time round?

Remember that people had to pay a hefty fee for that separately back in Car Robots 2000 days unless you have the Japan TRU DX giftset. Even so, that giftset wasn't easy nor cheap to obtain in the secondary market.

Try putting the cost of all 3 together, coupled with plastics that aren't hollowed out, electronic lights & sounds & you may find it easier to swallow.

Yeah; you just have to watch the seller. Though there's still sometimes odd exceptions like how Windblade won't ship to Canada for me, no matter who I order her from.

 

I just used the link to find the listing and was able to order it with US shipping.
