What about sticker placement? Mine looks like they were put on by someone drunk and half asleep! Thinking of getting the reprolabels and doing it myself but never ordered from them before. How good are they in terms of quality compared to the originals?
way better quality stickers then you have on there XD Reprolabels are awesome, don't hesitate at all, well worth the price!
another good photoset, makes devastator look pretty good. http://hyperd.blog66.fc2.com/blog-entry-1921.html
I would like to get this eventually, but with Hot Toys 89 Batman coming I gotta save up as much as I can.
Alright so I compared my Original G1, and Encore Mixmasters. G1 in the middle and Encore on the Right. The Rubsign is in the same spot and as the original and the original has damage. The color looks the same to me, it might be off in the photo. I couldn't tell a weight difference between the two but does appear to be a different type of plastic used. I only saw a few Differences 1. The peg that connects the mixer barrel on the encore is smaller and does not stick out as much as on the original. 2. The spring above his head is present in the encore and missing in my vintage (Never knew it had a spring!). 3. There is a new head on the encore version.
Hook 1. The purple is a darker shade on the Encore version. 2. The peg on right shoulder is longer and rounded off on the encore version. 3. The face also has some differences the nose is not connected to the eyes and is flat on the encore. 4. The windows on the crane are black on the encore version. 5. There is a T shape piece on the right leg, front of vehicle mode on encore version. 6. Added pics showing the Hook is facing a different way
^nice pics ... aww man...now what?! @Jazz Meister: thanks for the comparison pics! I think I might just cave in and get the Encore Devy after all. sighhh..........
Don't forget that anther difference between G1 Hook and Encore Hook is (literally!) the hook. On the crane arm. On G1 Hook, it faces the front. On Encore Hook, it faces the back.
I compared my encore to a friends vintage devastator, and I could not see a difference. The two devastators look and feel really similar. There is slight color difference, but I think its to be expected since the original is so old. Also, I had no problem with any slidding parts, my devastator is nice and tight. Maybe the poster who got the loose item just got a dud. HOWEVER, I did notice that there is NO takara stamp on any of the figures; Every figure is stamped with TOMY only. Darn! I just noticed that, bummer.
i think thats because its an all new mould? reports that its lighter than the original could easily be substantiated with a weighing scale, i bet its not that much lighter! but of course i want it to be good!!
the lack of missing mixmaster head reports from anywhere except a few initail reports from the pre japan releases makes me think that issue was pretty limited. surely by now somebody somewhere would have reported missing heads in the japan bought stock.
Really? Mine are spot on. Some are peeling, but I just took a toothpick or my index finger to put the stickers back into place.
hmmm... so it's inevitable that mixmaster's gonna have his rubsigned ruined after it's initial combination? Not that it makes a difference, I'm caving in =___=
