The Baytwins were his idea and I doubt he would watch a little kid's show like TFA, the movie ended with Prime picking up a shard so it was only natural that it would show up again, SAM didn't turn into a robot sailor moon (Marty Iseberg sure loves his female leads to mary-sue 'em up like that) and loyals dudes reviving their leader is HARDLY a TFA only plot.

So i really do wonder if he will die in this movie but see the problem we have is that Bay has declared that the two movies wont connect so if he dies does he not come back or is it like a megatron thing.

 

My only problem with Megan Fox is her acting ability. She can play the vamp, the bitch, the cheerleader, but she doesn't seem to be able to quite grasp the loving, caring girlfriend just yet.

I like that she's giving Sam a bit of hell, it's realistic, but she looks so plastic and feels so wooden when doing her lines.

Other actresses would've been able to pull it off far better than she is capable of (at least currently)

Let's face it, this is a fantasy fiction film. In all of the romantic story lines of movies of this type, the geek/loser wins in the end and the girl actually cares for him, loves him and it shows.

Megan Fox just isn't able to produce that emotional attachment required for the story line, at least not in my book.

However, I shall be fair and say I've yet to see ROTF, she may yet surprise me. The trailer showed her crying (most likely over Sam, I'd imagine) which impressed me, so I'm willing to watch her act in the film with an open mind. If, however, we receive another act like she gave us in TF07...then yeah, I'd want another actress.

And no, I have no idea who'd replace her. I haven't thought about it much lately, though I did after the first film.

While it might be her acting (okay, it is her acting), I always translated that as Mikaela's hesitance to be emotionally open to people. I mean, it doesn't take much to be arm candy for a High School Football Player (Trent), its entirely different thing to be affectionate towards someone who kisses/worships the ground you walk on (Sam for Instance).

Hopefully she'll get better at it. The acting I mean. She may be eveyman's current fantasy, but that only lasts for so long, and I think she has it in her to be better than she is. If she tried.

I do hope they kept the 'comic relief' at a tasteful level. When idiot characters suck (e.g., G1 Wheelie, ewoks, gungans, etc.) they *really* suck.

 

Which is exactly why I'm willing to be openminded about this and give her a fair chance for ROTF.

I do hope you're right though, because she seriously made the character feel "meh" in my book. Sure, she's pretty (though I've seen prettier) but that's about the biggest reason they picked her.

Hell, ScarJo (as she's nicknamed, apparently) is far more attractive, has the sex factor through the roof, and she can act. She would've been more than convincing.

Someone who takes this way too seriously if you think it's worth complaining that Megan Fox, or any female, shows up in the trailer or the film in general regardless of what she is or isn't wearing. You stating we could look up more titillating shots of women rather than see the 'useless' shot of her came off as taking things a bit too seriously regarding this movie as well. She's in the trailer for a little bit, and the ass shot is only there for a second or two. Why complain in the first place? That quick shot is really worth getting all pissy over?

As far as agreeing or disagreeing with you...in principle, human characters can be irrelevant. Be it a cartoon or live action, the main attraction is the Transformers. Of course. What I disagreed with was the view that something made her character unlikeable; her character was a random Michael Bay female character. She's not going to win a Feminist of the Year award for this role. This isn't Ellen Ripley or Sarah Connor reborn. Her character as irrelevant? She's one of the few I care for, but compared to Prime or Megatron, she's not as important. Duh. However, the fact her character showed some balls when it came to fighting the Decepticons, rather than cower behind Sam or someone else, was something I was happy to see. It's Michael Bay's halfassed version of a female badass, but it's better than the Damsel in Distress crap, which she easily could've been turned into and would've required even less acting ability and, for me, would've been genuinely unlikeable and completely irrelevant. I know what to expect with a Michael Bay film however, so I'm not offended, bothered, or annoyed in any way. His films may not be classified as 'art,' just a fun movie, so it doesn't get my inner feminist riled up to view it as worth attacking him for constantly casting 'babes' in central roles or to critique Megan Fox for insisting on more character development or less skin. It's a Michael Bay film. I'm over it and his teenage boy-view of movie making. I'll enjoy his occasional film for what it's worth and move on.
I don't eagerly anticipate who makes the human cast, but I think Megan Fox is attractive and she could have potential as an actress, so if she's in the film, great. If Kristen Bell were in it and looking smoking hot, would I also be happy? Sure. Emily Blunt? Ditto. As for the ass shot...yes, you can head elsewhere. Or you can watch it while you watch Transformers. It's not a big deal, so why are you complaining? If you don't like it, close your eyes or ignore it. Is it really that big a deal to you to bitch this much? Seriously??
