I'm surprised more people aren't put off by Soundwave's "tail". The way it looks here it would drag the ground when he walks. I hope the movie version handles it better, otherwise that's a crap design scheme.

No no no no no Geewhun isn't what we refer G1 as it's a term used to describe people who think everything should be G1. It's a snarky remark.

gotta admit, this bumblebee mold looks way better than the original, at least in robot mode. i think the camaro mode looks too much like a challenger though.

Funny how it's the old delux version who still get to give the best Bumblebee vibe.
Humanaliance sort of look good, but has some miss on the chest (but maybe it is still mistransformed) and the legs (tough it is the one with the better arms) but I still consider, maybe subjectively, that that new delux is still the best.

I'll wait for the Transformers 3 improved version of Bumblebee to buy it again.

Well everything should be G1! Haha....just kidding. I do think that some of the movie designs are bad though. Some examples are Barricade's face close up looks fake due to the busy design, Starscream's body looks short, fat and silly in robot mode (they could have designed that better) and the whole Optimus mouth thing. Optimus having a mouth does not add any more expression in my opinion. When he talked with the face shield up it totally worked and he looked cooler. With that being said I'm pretty cool with Soundwave's movie design. I expected the worst. So he has a jet mode and a truck mode? I'm curious as to where the "sound" in Soundwave comes it?

Sooo... no one is taking issue with the fact that Empire is calling Soundwave a jet even though we've been told (or at least led to believe) that he's actually a satellite? Any chance they're only calling him a jet because that's what the (likely mistransformed) stock photos Hasbro supplied looks like, or is it official now that he is in fact a jet and not a satellite?

The real deal is probably the jet considering that every satellite pic so far made no sense at all and looked horrible.

Soundwave is mistransformed in both modes, that's for sure.

That jet mode is even more horrible. Doesn't prove anything.

If he isn't officially a jet, then he SHOULD be for the reason that it can lie flat. No altmode should require you to hold it in your hand in order for it to be "right-side-up".

Even with good pictures now, it still just doesn't push my got to have it button. I like that he has hands and things like that, but the robot mode and Cybertron vehicle modes still aren't hitting on what I find cool. Maybe the Earth mode will help, but right now there just anything to cave in on the movie figures.

Which is sort of bad because I went all geek crazy for Soundwave's Animated toy.

It makes more sense than the satellite, specially toy-wise.

Oh yeah not to mention that jet is actualy SHAPED like a jet, while all the other modes so far looked like a pine cone.

I just noticed the "wings" on my Soundwave are installed differently (left is right and right is left)... Also, the shoulder pad placement doesn't make much sense in alt mode on that pic.

Could someone who HAS the toy check for landing gear or something in this configuration? That would answer the question pretty quickly... And we all know how Hasbro likes adding wheels to the bottom of molds...
