I did this guy a few months back, but for some reason, never posted him here. He was done as an elegant style steampunk version of Animated Jazz. His vehicle mode already had a bit of the steampunk look to it. I added the gears to his wheels and inside his legs. The sword was a rework from Generations Drift. Then gave him more of a steampunk color scheme similar to Cpt. Nemo's car in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I also removed his rear window to add to the sleekness.

Looks great! I really like how it looks over all; that along with the steampunk sword and added gears. Wonderful job. :thumbs2:

I dig the sword but the car is too smooth it needs more gears and pipes.

He's awesome and for an "elegant" Steampunk I can't imagine I'd change anything. MMmmmmaybe the obligatory Steampunk Goggles, but otherwise perfect!

Yes! When I look the figure the first thing that comes to my mind was: Animated Drift?

Very nice job, the sword is awesome and the paint job is amazing.

To a Animated Drift it's good but for a Steampunk vehicle it really needs more gears and pipes. A great car, but without the steampunk vibe.

Thanks, guys! This custom actually went thru a few different versions during it's creation. At one point it did have pipes running along the edges of the hood, over the fenders, etc. At another, I had tried to add rivets along all of the edges. However, every time I looked at it, it didn't feel right. So, I ended up with the gears where they are. I still have him, and may pick it back up someday. Will just have to wait and see.

    Thanks again for the love!

Try gold pin striping for detailing the alt mode.

I like the fill in the rear window idea.

Awesome idea! I think you should follow though with the advice everyone has so far posted. The alt mode needs a little more detail work, but it looks great

I love this piece! I'm a big fan of Steampunk, and you've captured the idea perfectly. In a Animated figure, no less.

I like it! The one touch that I appreciate is the inner calves/boots coloration and texture.

I sort of get a steampunk vibe from this, but that's of little importance to me, honestly. I enjoy that the work is solid. :thumb
