It's been a long time coming, I've always wanted one of these guys ever since I saw the headless one in the G1 Season 2 episode of "War Dawn". Granted, he is just a re-deco of Omega Supreme, but I'm still a fan.

I just picked him up today and he also came with some exclusive premiums. Even the toy store that helped me order him did not know about the premiums till today. The premiums are pictured below, the 4-page insert and some faction decals. :)

    Here are the pics:

Oops, sorry about not being clear, the premiums are the faction decals and the 4-page comic insert.

I love the kinky little comics Takara includes with their recent releases. Why can't Hasbro do the same for Classics 2.0? :(

They are, in fact. :)  The 25th Anniversary OP will include a comic book, and so will the Target Exclusive 2-packs :

    a) "Standoff Beneath the Streets" -- Springer vs Ratbat

    - Set includes War Within: The Dark Ages Issue #2 comic, featuring Springer vs. Ratbat before the Generation One war came to Earth

    (b) "Autobot Ambush -- Roadbuster vs Dirge

    - Set includes a reprint of Target 2006 #3 comic; in which Autobot Roadbuster fights and kills Dirge in a simulated battle training program

NOTE: Above pics of Target Exclusive 2-packs are not mine and are property of The Falcon's Hangar, a collector's toyshop domiciled in Singapore.

Springer's toy is most definitely modern day Earth whereas Ratbat's could be thought of as Cybertronian in design.

I will as soon as I get down to opening him! Haha.

Yeah definitely, especially since Springer is a repaint of Blades. I just copied the comic description from the stock toy description, so I kinda took it for granted that it was accurate.

They are the Sumo champions of the TF world... :)

Interesting... the artwork in the mini-comic really seems to be "western style", rather than "manga". But I wonder if sumo wrestlers might have been part of the original inspiration for Guardian Robots' proportions. Well, that and the bulk of the original Omega mold.

I didn't realize this guy was finally released. Now I just have to wait for my shipping notice from BBTS, and of course find a place to display this guy. Can't wait for him to get here.

Very nice! Im planning on this purchase very soon. Just wish they would have done him in the Pre-transformers colors like some of the other E-hobby G1 releases. Either way, thats awsome!

Yup he was just released in Singapore today. My usual toystore didn't even shoot out an email yet as he usually does but phoned me straight away to inform me the figure had arrived. Since I was close by I thought what-the-heck and went to pick him up. I have no regrets for this figure. :)

SMOG > Yes, the style of the comic insert really does seem "western". Hmm.

Much thanks for the link! I did not keep up with this figure so the additional stuff was a nice little surprise :)

From the looks of stock photos he looks as closely G1-accurate as possible. I'm not able to open mine now cause I kinda kept my box in a different location. Well actually at my new house as I'm in the middle of shifting and I'm still living at the old one
