Eh? It's stuck! I can't get it to slide.

This week I broke down and got the 20th Optimus Prime. I already have both MP1 and MP4 but would like one to actually play and leave around the house. For some reason, I can't slide his legs up in the truck cab mode. I keep pressing the release side tank barrels on the side of the legs but it won't trigger the sliding mechanism. Anybody have any suggestions? I'm so frustrated that I might get a hammer or something. :banghead:

You don't just press on them, you press on the lower part of it.(i.e., closer to his foot.) This is because there is a pivot pin in the centre of the can, and the top part of the can is what holds the thigh up. Hope this helps!

I have the same problem with one of mine. For the "good" one, I just push in on the end of the barrel toward his feet. For the "arthritic" one, I have to sort of twist the barrel, pushing in on the end toward the feet while pulling out (slightly) on the end toward the cab.

Tried all that and still didn't work. Actually, when I got him out of the box, the bottom of the gas tank was and still is popping out. It's to the point it's coming out at a 40 degree angle. I tried wiggling and pushing and everything. Nothing seems to work. I'll play with it some more but at this point, I think I'm going to dissect him out.

Ah QC issues. I had a hard time getting my MP-04's legs to slide but someone on here told me you have to press down on the bottom (or was it top) half of the gas tanks. Worked like a charm.

I been pressing on the bottom half since I got him on Tuesday. It's just not letting up. :(

Well, I got some progress, I got one time loose. Just have to play with the other stuff.
