    some people are pretty oblivious. i always feel bad for old ladies that fall for telephone scams and wind up losing like ten grand. what kind of bastard does something like that?

    Well, in all fairness, there's a good bit of difference between "add your phone number to the do not call registry" and "someone in Uganda left you a million dollars, we just need your banking information". Regardless, a quick google or snopes visit will typically provide the answer.

    Good way to go after people's fear, though, since it's only a matter of time until telemarketers WILL get our cell numbers.

    Luckily for myself... my cell phone's off half the time anyways. And I rarely get text messages... occasionally one from my friend, and some stupid ones from who-knows-who that I usually delete anyways.
