"Eeverybody can relax, I found the car. Needs some suspension work and shocks. Brakes, brake pads, lining, steering box, transmission, rear-end...... Also new rings, mufflers, a little wiring."

Oh yeah......I'm doin' this! I just got commissioned by Demonss. It shouldn't need as much work as Ray says up there but it will almost entirely be a scratchbuild. I just got the Polar Lights model from ebay and work should commence shortly. It should be around the same scale as Alternators so that should allow me to replicate every bit of detail as shown in Kingstarscreams drawing. I tried to track him down to let him know I was doing this and give him a nod but all attempts failed. Cheers to him for a great design and if you're out there I plan to do it justice.

    No way.

Also, it looks like you might be able to do this with a Cybertron Red Alert and some Gundam parts.

It probably could and I believe that was what King used as a template. I don't think that the detail would work on that scale which is why we decided that 1:24 was the way to go.

There is no way that the Polar Lights model will be Alternators size, the PL Ecto model is 1:18th not 1:24th.

That being said, this is going to be an amazing build, can't wait to see it once done.

I'd considered doing one of these a while back, but rather than a complete scratch-build, I was gonna do what Kingstarscream did, and start with Cybertron Red Alert as a base. but of course, the best laid plans of mouse droids and manifolds often have an extra go-to line. i look forward to seeing your progress! Good luck!

You could always just use the shoulders of that mold, then attach them to whatever else there is. *It would save you some work on the hinge for the doors.

But, your choice. I can't wait to see this thing.

They make one in 1/25th scale. I had one and was going to do the same thing....

    Here it is:

Polar Lights Ghostbusters ECTO-1 1/25 Car Model Kit PL

Looking forward to what you come up with....should prove to be pretty sweet.

This is the one. 1:25th scale. Just assumed it was 1:24th cuz of the relative size to the Alternators. The Caddy just over 9 inches long.
