Don't care about Twilight, don't care about the people getting all wound up because it dares to exist, don't plan on seeing it or paying much attention to it. Only reason for posting in this thread...

...is to celebrate this epic picture :lol

I just can't seem to summon up nerd rage over a story meant to be popular with 12 year old girls succeeding in being popular with 12 year old girls.

I have nothing to add to this thread except these two things:

    a) Good LORD that Batman picture is creeping me right the fuck out, and

    b) Here's a little song parody I wrote summing up the Twilight saga and my opinion on the same. Enjoy :D  Bloody Sick Of Twilight

Totally and utterly aware, although I'd like to say that the film gave me pleasure as well. So, if you wanted to twist words around you could say that the children sighing and swooning over every word that was said was ruining my enjoyment of entertainment that I had paid for.

I point to last post the clasical fangirls reactions etc etc, was what made us(gf at the time and me) snarky during the first twiligth during the last half or so, in any case doubt Ill watch it...

I hate the source, and hence I want some vampire hunter/vampire from any series-say ALUCARD(any of the two castlevania, or helsing) to end Edward. that being said anyone can like whatever the hell they want as long as they arent on my face about it....

Christ they're really giving the whore-mother treatment to this franchise aren't they? Pump one out, don't give a shit about it, onto the next one, pump it out, don't give a shit about it, pump another one out, don't give a shit about it.

Maybe if they put some effort in to making these movies they wouldn't be universally hated by critics. Oh wait, that's not the problem, it's the fact it's a crappy-written book that I wouldn't walk across a road to piss on it if it were on fire.

I suggest these twilight fans actually do some real reading:
    -HP Lovecraft
    -Steven King
    -Dean Koontz
    -Michael Crichton

    Saying classy as usual, nice.

I'd think all you Twilight haters would be more than happy to see these films pumped out so they burn through them.

It really is a catch-22 in the fanboy mind.

Says the kid with the Godzilla avatar, oh the irony. And what's with the piss analogies.

And I suggest you go do some real reading. Don't get me wrong, a lot of those authors are very talented, but you're not exactly making a case for high literature here.

    Fixed.

I also recommend Joyce Carol Oates. "Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?" was freaky.

Now that's a good list. Though I'd replace Bram Stroker for Mark Twain.

^^^ Agreed. I tried reading Dracula, but it really wasn't to my taste. Though I'm sure it's more quality than the vampire crap spewed out today.

I felt it fit properly :p

True, but even if I don't like a movie, the effort put into it that makes it a good film is admirable. I don't care for Citizen Kane much, but I think Orson Welles put alot of effort into it to make it what it is recognized as today.

    Why you son of a...

NEVER. MOCK. GODZILLA. That monster is a pop-culture icon. Sure I don't think the movies are great, but I like the concept. And c'mon...

That is frigging bad ass. That's why I love Godzilla. He's an entity that represents the wrong-doings of mankind and unstoppable destruction on a catastrophic scale. Plus giant monsters are awesome.

I choose those authors based on people I know who read the Twilight series. They also enjoy the work of those authors. There's no contest between Steven King's "It" and "Eclipse". But I do agree with Optimus 1986's fixed version too.

Bro why you gotta be hatin' on someone for their opinion?

I've heard that name before many times. I'll check him out.

Isaac Asimov was also a great author. One of my favorites in SciFi literature :D

Personally, I wonder how many different names for "darkness" Twilight has. Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse.... I hope Part IV (or V, I dunno how many books they have and I'm scared to google it) is entitled Twilight: Blacker Than the Blackest Black Times Infinity.
