Im a newbie at Ebay, Ive been buying on amazon for a while, never had a bad experience there, however, Ive noticed that on ebay, I "buy it now" an item and payed it right away, however Ive been trying to contact the seller, and he hasnt replied me back.

Another seller, I won his auction, he sent me an invoice with the total price,
I paid him and days later emailed him to ask when hes gonna ship with no luck either. Is this a common issue with ebay? The sellers dont have a good enough customer service to answer customers inquiries?

On amazon, I dont even have to worry about it, they sent me emails, everytime they move a finger, its called "trust".

    Lets see what happens next.

Consider too more sellers on Amazon are businesses, in addition to Amazon themselves, that devote time to customer service needs. eBay on the other hand has more sellers who are just regular folk selling stuff in their spare time. You're going to encounter a range of customer service skills. The DSR ratings (stars) are their to rate sellers for this stuff, specifically communication.

    Some tips:
Check the auction listing in case the seller marked the item as shipped - few sellers use this but it's helpful when they do.
If you paid with Paypal and the seller happens to use Paypal click 'n ship, keep referring to the automatically generated email which should have tracking info in it.

    Aw, hell.

Sorry, dude, but you might be learning about e-commerce the hard way.

Hope it plays out for you--upside is that once you're comfortable with it all, the 'bay is a great place for deals.
