    Ebay:
So... I was actually trying to sell this guy on eBay, however, they pulled it because it violeted their "firearms regulations" because it doesn't have a oragne cap. :lol  Thankfully, the credited my seller account the listing and gallery fees back! :lol  Guess I learned a valuable lesson huh? ;)

Anyways, sense I don't want to fiddle with trying to not get noticed by eBay, I'm going to throw him back up for sale on TFW.

    Here's a pic:

He's in excellent condition and comes with all of his accessories. I even managed to find his box recently -no pics, but I can get some if desired-, but no insert for it. Any other questions feel free to ask.

My asking price is $55 plus $10 for 2 Day Priority Mail shipping and delivery confirmation. Thanks for looking!

    Ebay:
Don't know, but it might have only got targeted because I flate out said in the description that it wasn't "nuetered" like many of the recent reissues. That and that pic is the one I put on eBay... and you can definently see that it doesn't have the orange cap.

I guess...pretty scary, though, and frustating. Good price, man. If I didn't have the original and a MISB 16S Megs., I'd take your's. I'm sure someone here will need/want it. Good luck!

    eBay's firearms rule:

    http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/firearms-weapons-knives.html

Anything that looks like a realistic gun must have an orange cap, same as US law.

Well, yeah. But I've seen a lot of them sell on eBay without orange caps so I didn't see why I wouldn't be able to. It's not like this is the first time a Megatron without an orange tip was put up on eBay. :lol

That is not the same as US law. US law provides an implicit exception for imitation guns made before 1988:

    15 U.S.C.A. ยง 5001
It doesn't apply to any imitation gun manufactured/entered into commerce (i.e. first sold) prior to 1988. Thus, while selling Megatron reissues without the plug is illegal, selling original Megatrons and pre-TF Megatrons without the plug is not.

Ebay goes beyond the statute by applying the ban to ALL imitation firearms, regardless of whether they were made and first sold before the effective date.

    Ebay:
Here's hoping this gets front paged. I had some mp-05 Megatron auctions that were unmodified and ebay shut down the auctions stating that it was a violation of the knives and firearms rule. You will also notice if you search mp-05 you will get less than ten results now. So my auctions weren't the only ones that were closed . I think this has something to do with the Virginia Tech guy buying his stuff off of ebay and them going through to crack down. What do you guys think?

Makes perfect sense. Ban action figures yet the unbalanced can still find real weapons to cause carnage.

wow, ain't that a bitch, so who's selling the plastic plugs now? :lol

On a serious note, really, toughen the gun laws, not toy gun laws! World would be a better place if all guns are made into non-lethal projectile version.

That's retarded. Just call your auction "Masterpiece Megatron" and don't mention that it turns into a gun.

Might have something to do with why they canceled my G1 Reissue Megatron sale on the very last day of the auction...

I wonder what this will do to the original, G1 Megatron market. Only time will tell.

I would think Ebay knows what Masterpiece Megatron is though if they are banning the sales. I think it's stupid. The gun is over sized and doesn't fire anything. It costs over 100 bucks. Kids aren't buying these.

    Problems selling Megatron

Has anyone sold a G1 Megatron on Ebay and had the auction pulled b/c of the no firearms policy? I'm a little peeved that they did that. There are tons of Megs on there now.
