This is my second attempt at painting the new NICK TMNT figures but this time went for a different approach. Painted them up in black and white comic book style. Gave them a flat black base coat and then dry brushed grays and white.

Interesting approach! Not that I am suggesting this, but it'd be interesting to see them all with just red head bands on your comic style!

That would defeat the purpose of black and white.

Nice Juan, I was just looking at gray-scale art the other day wondering why it had not found it's way here. I like it, a little break from the norm never hurt anyone, and it's much more challenging to pull it off. Only thing I would change would be to brighten up the wraps a little more, like the ankles for example, to make them stand out tad against their skin. Otherwise, a welcome change, maybe some other figures could recieve this treatment as well?

Man that looks badass. Funny how GreyScale really brings out their personality. I always hated the colored Headbands. Much prefer them all red or just Black and white.

    Great work!

This is something different :) . I did darken the bandanas and the straps with light grays. I kept everything like the skin and wraps, white because that how I imagine them being drawn. Plus the wraps have different texture so there is no need to change the tone. At least that's how I see it. I have to touch up the weapons though. The hands have a VERY tight grip that the paint rubs.
