Well, for me it was hilarious to see Frenzy do a nice homage to BW Waspinator's crawling head gag.

oh yeah, i can't believe that I didn't point this out but remember how alot of the G1 episodes had stories that took place at power plants especially around a dam which generated power? You would always see guys dressed up like Sparkplug. Yellow Boots, Blue Jeans, Brown Shirt and Yellow Hardat.

We didn't exactly get that exact wardrobe ensemble. But During the Hoover Dam scene, there were lots of guys dressed somewhat like that. There were definitely lots of hardhat wearing dudes.

 

I watched it for a second time today and I caught something that I hadn't earlier. During the whole phone call/credit card scene, there were two switchboard operators in the background, one had a red (autobot) turban on, and the other guy had a blue (decepticon) one on. I found it to be rather funny.

 

I don't know if it was a reference or not but the guide boy in Qatar reminded me a little of Hassan/Prince Jamal, especially since they both wore blue.

 

All the references made me and my other friend smile hardcore. Especially the Jazz swinging on Brawl's barrel and pulling it upwards. That was way too cool.

I still think Optimus Prime should've said "Amazing. A boobie trap that actually catches boobies"
