YouTube - Earthworm Jim HD - XBLA - Game Trailer
Looks amazing. EWJ 1&2 are some of my favorite 16-Bit era platformers. PSN please.
Oh hells yeah.
xbox only though?
Nice thread title, Boardwise. You did good.
From an earlier article it seemed to indicate that it was on XBLA for a one-month exclusivity period: GamerBytes - EarthWorm Jim HD Developed From The Ground Up, Includes Special Edition Features
Also, was that Keyboard Cat at the end?
Co-op makes me wish I had friends!!
Earthworm Jim, while a really cool experience as a platformer game, was not much fun past the second level if I remember correctly. 'What the Heck?!?' was where the fun always ended for me. Every other level was always making me do something I didn't really want to do in a platformer.
Bubble race with glass car? No...
Escort mission with angry child-thing? No...
Snot a problem?...Not so bad.
Still, you get two fun stages, maybe three with Level 5, a bunch of difficult/not-fun stages, and then the murder-fest that is the last level.
Sorry, the nostagia for me, at least on EWJ1 is not very high. I do remember playing What the Heck? numerous times in a row because it was so much fun. Using the cheat codes for the game back in the day was a lot of fun as well. Heh...
i don't remember the bubble race with glass car...
Gots to get my Iphone version downloaded again. This is good news indeen.
I may need to buy an Xbox solely for this game.
Damn, all the time I spent playing this on Genesis is comnig back to me now... Such a damn fun game! Makes me sad I can't afford a 360...
Yeah, please come to PSN.
It was an underwater level. You had to navigate through a maze of rocks, and the glass bubble you were in hit the walls, it would start to crack. Too many cracks and it breaks, and you die. What made it a race was you had limited oxygen in the bubble, and you had to stop at refueling docks.
It was not a fun level...
Four player co-op!
You can say that again. I was only five, and it drove me to the point of throwing the game cartridge across the room.
I think I've matured enough to deal with it now.
I had both EJ games DLed to my Wii. On EJ2: I keep getting stuck on the level where you have to fly and push the bombs on the side scroller level. I don't recall that level...ever...but then again, it has been quite a few years since I played it.
Anyone else kinda bothered by that video using different voice overs?
That means a lot to me.
i really don't remember that.... i thought you guys were talking about that rocket race level.
I hated the fire stage qhat is that...3 or 4.
there was this place were you hade to swing on several hooks to get accros. man I hated that, to early, to late, to early, to late and so on...
