So I'm sitting here just minding my own damn business and my apartment complex starts shaking like mad. Thought an airplane (I live in wichita kansas, air plane capital) had crashed or something. But I guess we are getting earthquakes or supposedly aftershocks of earthquakes from Oklahoma. Anybody know more about this?

Ah thank you for that snippet. 1 person on my FB mentioned one last night but I ignored it for rabble. But wow, I never thought I'd feel an earthquake in kansas my whole life. I know we have them but we never feel them. But man!

Yeah we had a 4.7/5.2 here (the news said both) a little while ago. News also said it was felt in Kansas too so guess we sent you a little somethin' skiss. Nuthin personal :)  First one I've ever been in that I felt so it definately took me by surprise! Shook our house for about 30 seconds! Funny thing is, at first I thought it was the Chinooks again as I live across town from an AFB. They fly over periodically and it's always loud n thumpy! Be safe!

Yeah we have a big AFB in town aswell so I kinda thought the same thing. But this is about as serious as everyones taking it. No one got hurt from what I know thankfully.

I hear it got to about 80 miles north of manhattan. Not sure if it got past that. And a lot of people just slept right through it.

I must have been asleep up here when that happened. Doesn't anyone find it a bit odd that there's been two 5.0 earthquakes within a few months of each other, in areas where earthquakes don't occur much?
