Anyone think that Unicron should just outright transform and destroy Earth? The humans die but the Autobots destroy Unicron and restore Cybertron. A victory for the Autobots and a loss at the same time.

We Transformers fan are sure a self hating species. Pretty sure many people here in RL would sell themselves out to the Decetpicons out of self hating spite.

That just seems like a very anti-climatic of an ending.

"Well, we lost everyone we were trying to protect, not to mention the Earth is completely gone. BUT, Cybertron is revived!"

Well they don't HAVE to lose everyone. Earth could be destroyed, and humanity survives because ______ ?

Well, I'm assuming a destroyed Earth probably leads to the end of humanity :lol  Maybe there some lucky survivors?

The whole reason behind putting Unicron back to sleep at the tailend of season 1 was so that this wouldn't happen.

If Unicron were to return and the Autobots were to save earth, either they would build a second earth to replace the destroyed one or transfer Unicron's spark/conciousness into a new smaller body so his old one wouldn't transform and rip the planet apart.

I think the idea of an Optimus/Megatron-sized Unicron would be very cool. It would be neat to see him go toe-to-toe against the leaders and possibly wrestle control of the Decepticon army from Megatron through brute physical force.

Unicron had nothing to do with Cybertron´s actual state; it was the War.
To restore Cybertron autobots need to :
    a) Rediscover the Energon Formula (I still don´t believe it was simply "lost" to space... it could have been captured into a Earth satellite, for example)
    b)Awaken Primus.

I can imagine Optimus, saying that.
And he adds:"So, we have our profit".

Or, Optimus Prime:"Ah, how sad, we lost our Home, yet again".
Megatron:"I wonder, why the Decepticons are the only side, that is glad".

Or, Optimus Prime:"Ah, how sad, we lost our Home, yet again".
Megatron:"But we have our old home back".
Prime:"No, no! I want this one".
    Megatron:"How treacherous of you".

Well... it's never been done before (to my knowledge) and I'm not good at fan-fiction, but I had this idea a while back where the war was over, humans wind up populating Cybertron, and live with the TFs - like they all co-exist. Kinda like those episodes of Robotech where the Zentradi and Humans work together for a few years or whatever? Well then Unicron shows up and it's "all hands on deck" - Cybertron President Optimus sends General Megatron and his military might to deal with Unicron. Trypticon, SkyLinx, Omega Supreme, Fort Max, etc etc all land ON Unicron, open their doors, out pour the human marines with TF technology weapons, etc. Primus awakens, the day is saved, yada yada, it's Miller Time.

Prime could do that - Humanity finds out Unicron is waking up, EVERYONE needs to leave - the Decepticons build MORE Space Bridges - everyone evacuates Earth to "dead" Cybertron - where Ratchet has developed an atmosphere because why not - Earth goes boom, everyone is ok UNTIL Unicron reaches Cybertron, and then it's "all hands on deck".

We don't need an "Earth" to have a Transformers show :)  Heck, we don't even need the humans but who wants to scare the kids to death...

As entertaining as it would be to watch Unicron completely annihilate a CGI Earth, I don't see it happening. Even if it wasn't a kid's show it would still be way over the top.

its all unlikely to happen in the context of a kids show but then again I've got half memories of seeing a trailer for an animated kids film about 10 years ago called Titan A.E. (after earth) where the film was set in space after earth had been destroyed for some reason. An evacuate earth storyline would create huge challenges for shows creators but could really make prime really stand out.

The big question would be what would happen after? I imagine the autobots would help the remains of humanity to locate to an unoccupied planet which could support human life. Unicron would probably have grown out through the earths crust and would be about earth size and looking at the rest of our solar system for his first planet to eat and probably head towards what is left of cybertron to finish what he started with primus

as I said earlier it would be extremely unlikely and ambitious but wouldn't it be brave if during the hype for season 3 they gave it a header or title like evacuation earth and 4 could maybe be something like wrath of unicron what do you think?

I dig this. It'd be one hell of a time trying to evacuate 6.5 billion people :lol  but why not? I like the story you set up though and it'd lend itself to a good conflict where humans would need to learn how to live on another planet.
