Any tips on removing the Cap head?

 

It should come apart pretty easy after removing the four screws on chest. to get where head compartment is. Then remove the screw that holds head in place. Ive done this on both of mine already and it wasn't that complicated.

 

Ah... you're keeping the head guns? I assumed you were going to remove them.

I like them. I just have to do a little bit of cutting to get them to fit. Luckily, the head portion will cover the extra space in alt mode.

I'm starting to think that this idea won't scream Roadbuster to the people here because the helmet isn't an exact match to the G1 design. Who knows, maybe I'll call him Roadfire instead (lol).

 

Someone may have asked this, but where are those weapons from? That is fricking slick, Satomi!!!!

Is there a mold that Jetfire's Helmet won't look good on ?

I think the head will be alright for Roadbuster without the headguns. The faceplate and visor combination conveys the character well enough, but I'd be worried about the headgun distracting.

Errrr... sorry dude. Maybe I should have posted the pics in a different thread if people are getting our stuff mixed up.  

The weapons are really just placeholders to give a "Roadbuster" feeling. The shoulder gun is a giant KO version of the launcher that comes with RM Optimus, with another missile (no idea who from) stuck in it. The sweet rifle he's carrying is actually from a 1:35 scale Roadbot, believe it or not. Some of those Roadbots have some pretty wicked sidearms.

I think I'm going to keep the side guns on. I really like them.

I would like them more myself, if the posts for the guns weren't so wide, sticking off the head like that.

It's okay. But I do think it'll confuse some people.

I really want to see you finish one of your prior WIP's. We can't have a laundry list of great ideas that never come to fruition.

In other words, GIVE US CLASSICS ONSLAUGHT AND BLITZWING!

 

But I DO have a laundry list of bashing concepts that never come to fruition. It's ALL I HAVE!!  

I really have been jonesing to do some bashing, but my dremel tool is packed away until I finish a few other non-TF projects I've had on the go. I have too many hobbies.  

I really want to get back to Onslaught and the rest of the Combaticons, but it's tricky because I have to figure out all the combining issues before I start chopping. At least the weather is warming up, so I can open some windows and do some painting now without gassing myself.
