Didn't ROTF make more? I thought it made like 20 million or something like that

Edit: Never mind, I just read ROTF made 16 million which at the time was close to the biggest midnight opening ever right?

Yes, ROTF did more ($16M) so I guess some people got burned a little, but $13.5M blows almost everything else out of the water (POTC4 did $4.7M and Hangover II did $10.7M but had no night before showings) this year. Paramount themselves were predicting roughly $10M so anytime they are wrong on the low end is a good thing for the film usually.

also with it getting 90% audience approval ratings on rotten tomatoes, I'm sure it'll be a huge hit and make lots of $$$$

Yeah, I think a lot of people are unaware of it being released on a Wednesday...

Friday's when the magic happens. And of course the weekend.

I hope it still makes huge bank, because I want another movie. It doesn't have to be a reboot, just a continuation with a new director's vision. Bring on Unicron and Galvatron. It's time.

I like that none of you realize this opened on a weekday. Wait until the weekend.

For a Tuesday night that's actually a really good opening.

Several places are taking next week off for the 4th of July since the 4th falls on a Monday this year. Which that cuts into the number of people who could watch Dark of the Moon without having to get up and go to work the next day.

Word of mouth about how epic the action and visual set pieces are will send this movie over the edge in terms of box office figures. Bring the rain!
