Wow, I'm gonna jump right on this, oh wait a minute, I only buy toys that can actually be played with! J/K the pictures make them out to be made with really cheap looking plastic that wouldn't last a single transformation...

Depends on the item weight and box size (they charge for the shipping materials too), and the method. My Encore 01 and 04 came together and it was 3600 Yen (which is ~$30). That was by EMS though, which is the priority method and a little more pricey than SAL. However it took 4 buisness days for my parcel to get from Japan to the Atlantic coast of North America.

They are offering a bigger discount on a higher price than HLJ. But they offer the same shipping methods (aka the Japanese postal services EMS and SAL). Meaning they would both charge similar shipping prices.

Neat, that's a good price. Still got Ironhide in good shape from the late 80's G1 reissues over here, but Ratchet could use an upgrade. When I work it out, it must come to around £15 before shipping, can't do much better than that.

Yep! Jumped on this and cancelled my BBTS preorder. I've never ordered from HLJ before, but they've got a great reputation around here, and the price is outstanding.

As far as shipping goes, they list 780 Yen (US$6.73) for Encore Starscream via SAL. I wouldn't think one of these guys weighs more than him, so the two of them together should cost no more than double that to ship, and probably slightly less. Even if shipping was US$30, though, I'd still come out slightly better than with BBTS.

    Bwah? Are you joking?

I grabbed them at BBTS, just for the sake of using them with my growing pile of loot.

I get that it costs BBTS something to get the toys shipped to them from Asia, but if I can get an order shipped to me for less than their price BEFORE domestic shipping, I'm certainly going to do it. And maybe that means BBTS should take a look at their prices -- I'd think that shipping shouldn't cost them as much on a per-toy basis for their bulk orders as it does me for an order of 2 items. Then again, they seem to be doing brisk business, anyway, so maybe they have no reason to change anything.

WHAT? 30 for shipping 25-30 for the figure? BBTS is only 35.00 each plus I think they wanted around 10 (estimated) to ship both figures.

That's a total of $80. Are you referring to $30 to ship BOTH figures or just one?

I'm talking about the price for the total order, including shipping.

For BBTS, it's $34.99 each plus $9.19 shipping, so $79.17 total. For HLJ, it's $24.61 each, so $49.22 before shipping. So, if HLJ's shipping for my order was $29.95, I'd still break even. (My math was a few cents off earlier.) Judging by Starscream's shipping quote, though, I should do considerably better with HLJ.
