Hey guys. I have a question. I picked up Marvels Transformers more than meets the eye with Shockwave on the front with "are all dead" on the wall. It is an original with the barcode on the front. I also picked up # 6 where Shockwave beats the living crap out of Megs. Plus, the first Marvel issue, but instead of a barcode, it has a black spidy face on it.

My question is, are these worth anything?

    Thanks for the help.

the bar codes signify they were bought at a secondary store such as a 7-11 or a book-magazine stand. the black spisey head signifys they were bought at a comic store.

    spidey head = direct edition
    bar code = newstand edition

My understanding is there is no difference in price between the direct and newstand edition.

    Enjoy!

Not worth much but the Shockwave cover is a classic. Great piece of art. Every TF fan should own this.

That's a good deal. I saw the "Are all dead..." at a store the other day in prisitine condition. It was $6.

Cool find. I've got issues 1-32 I think it is. But it's the IDW reprint volumes. Still some of the funnest comics I've ever read that's for sure. I think that cover with Shockwave is one of the coolest covers I've seen though. Once again awesome find.

Marvel used to do that back then.
Comics were basically eight colors but every now and then you would see this awesome painting or even photograph as a cover.

It was very cool for the time.

To this day I haven't seen a comic book cover jump out at me as much as the Shockwave cover.
