EA confirms G.I. Joe movie tie-in | Gaming Industry | News by MCV
I call dibs on Dusty
I call dibs on skipping the game entirely.
Wasn't the last Gi-Joe game on the Atari 2600? Oh wait, no, just remembered one on NES, I think.
Man, this should be played like Star Wars Battlefront, or like the Battlefield games.
There is a GI Joe mod for battlefield 1942 that I played once. They even shot out those crappy lasers. I'm not keen on all the GI Joe terminology (wasnt that into the show for some reason) but I could recognize that they had plenty of the weird Cobra vehicules 'n stuff.
On a side note, is it me or does the main Tiberium series of Command & Conquer seem similar to GI Joe?
I'm thinking a Metal Gear type of game with Snake-eyes infiltrating a Cobra terrordome.
great another franchise ruined before it can even get off the ground b/c EA refuses to get rid of the SECUROM DRM. As well as having install limits, don't they get that most people are fine with the normal disk check system and don't want a program that inserts itself into the kernel of their computers sending all types of info back to EA,
there were 2 on the nes. gi joe atlantis factor was the best one, with its non-linear bionic commando-style map and its neat party system. it also had the most ridiculous and over-the-top story ever made, which upped its coolness factor instantly by about 10 points.
i had always thought that. in fact when i had renegade i have several skins that were Joe related.
Yo Joe? More like: Oh no, G.I. Joe game impressions - Joystiq
First impressions. And they do not sound like positive first impressions.
oh wow that first impression makes the game sound like absolute shit
ill give it a shot anyways but damn
Not surprising, the typical movie game turd.
I'm trying to filter out the article's sarcasum and take in the games features. Even with that, it still sounds dumb as hell.
I call dibs on agreeing with you.
why anyone would have any hope at all for a movie-based game is beyond comprehension.
Escape from Butcher Bay is cool...
