Dose the name have any sort of connection to GamePro magazine? If not wouldn’t there be some sort of copy right problem?
Yay! Its nice to have that time of year that you can expect all the new game news and trailers.
Yes ... exactly one month before they all have to ship.
The upside of this is that devs won't have to waste time kludging together tech demos just for a conference. The downside is ... actually, with the news/PR cycle the way it is now, I don't see a downside. "Wah, I can't play a demo that has little to do with the final product" doesn't strike me as a downside.
GamePro is owned by IDG, so no issue there.
Somehow I'm not surprised by this. The gaming media (and the mainstream media) ate up E3 each year.
that explains it...i never knew that.
GamePro is a fucking lame name. Let's move gaming backward some more!
It's also a lame magazine.
Why am I not surprised?
GamePro has been lame since right after the SNES days. At least we have a show.
I think I still have an old issue that had Bart vs. The Space Mutants on the cover...those were the days when that magazine was good.
I haven’t bought an issues of GamePro for at lest 8 or 9 years.
Every time I think of gamepro, all I can think of is their review of Doom that featured "Protip: Shoot it until it dies".
Protip: Basing a ratings system around how badly a face is being electrocuted is silly.
the only time i bought GamePro was while i was in Iraq before i got internet access.
Ok so E3 was scaled back so that the game companies could try and save money. So why would they now expect them to go to 2 different events?
I bought an issue recently and I'm shocked to find out they finally learned how to take half-decent photos. In the old days, all their photos were blurry and had horrible color distortions.
