The thing is, they could have at least given us some type of update on the development of MP4 be it a screen shot or an actual title. We haven't heard anything at all about the game since last year's E3.

BTW, where was the dude who runs the indie division of Sony? We haven't seen him at the conferences in like two year.

You... DO realize E3 honestly doesn't mean jack shit to Nintendo now don't you? Seriously.. They don't care about it except for the Showfloor.

They do Directs whenever the hell they feel like it. Hell we could have one Next week all about Metroid for all we know.

Posted this on the switch thread and will repost it here about the Nintendo direct.

"Strange thing is some of the people on youtube complaining about the long smash segment loved the Zelda e3 where they showed ONE game! (you can't have it both ways people!)

It's like those who complained about the 22min frozen short (Disney's 11th 22 min short by the way) in front of coco is to long for their kids then went and took those same kids to the 2 and a half hour long avengers 3 or 3 hour avatar. You just want to smack them!

I do wish they had showed the new animal crossing. At least we have classic Mario party back.

What I would have done was keep the first two smash segments, the daisy reveal, bomberman AT reveal and the purple space dragon reveal and date and left the rest for the treehouse. Trouble is they showed a bunch of stuff like captain toad at the last direct that they could have waited and shown here.

Also no shock to anyone Yoshi is deleyed till next year."

Gamexplain talks about the direct (and letdown)

They obviously care enough to go to the event to hold some stupid tournaments.

Also, I really don't get the hype around Death Stranding. Four videos and we have yet to be shown how the game actually plays. Is it really just one big empty world of you carrying around stuff on your back? That doesn't sound all that exciting. If I wanted to play a video game about nothing, I'd play The Sims or Minecraft.

Then Nintendo just doesn’t get it. Yes, they’ll have more Directs throughout the year, but it’s mostly die hard Nintendo fans watching those ones. This is E3 week. It’s the biggest week in gaming. All eyes are on the industry this week. A great showing this week could expand their audience.

But then, E3 itself is really only well known among the hardcore gaming crowd and each presentation is really only seriously followed by the hardcore audience of each platform. I don't think E3 is as big as a deal as you think it is.

Well, E3 as a whole this year was mostly a bust IMO. Fallout 76 is not really my cup of tea unless we get private servers on PC. Don't really feel like playing ARK with the looming threat of my hard work getting nuked by a rando. And Nintendo seems to have forgotten how to maintain momentum for a system since last year.

Oh well, guess I'll just preorder Spiderman and Starlink for the Switch, then keep playing ESO until we get some news that RDR2 is actually coming out on time.

A lot of information has come out in the last 24 hours that has settled a lot of my concerns. You don't lose progress when killed, steps are being taken to prevent "griefing", and nukes will be incredibly rare to obtain and cannot be used for griefing purposes.

I'm not sure I even have 15, but let's go (not necessarily going to play them all though):

    Resident Evil 2 remake
    Cyberpunk 2077
    Ghost of Tsushima
    The Last of Us 2
    Spider-Man
Octo Traveller (aka Final Fantasy XVI in my eyes)
    Jump Heroes
    Control
    Ori
    Shadows of the Tomb Raider
    Assassin's Creed Odyssey

That Switch Gundam looking game they showed at the beginning of the conference they didn't talk about once.

Oh yeah, and I'm honestly surprised Sony showed nothing for Days Gone, which doesn't inspire confidence.

Speaking of stuff missing, what 3DS games were announced?

Days Gone just got a ton of coverage with Game Informer last month. They released an hour of gameplay and quite a few developer diaries. I expect it to get one last push at PSX this year.

Mines is mainly Xbox and Switch since it's the ones I own:

    1. Forza Horizon 4
    2. Octopath Traveler
    3. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 DLC stuff
    4. Nier Automata for Xbox (heard good things about this game)
    5. Kingdom Hearts 3 (Never played a Kingdom Hearts game, but always wanted to and I don't want to buy the old games)
    6. Cyberpunk (I never could play first person. Last game I tried was with Skyrim. after awhile, I switched it to third person. With Cyberpunk, I'm willing to try first person agian.)

    That's it.
