Cheap and lazy. For $75 they can do better.

so does anyone know if this one has the ability to hold two cassettes? I heard that the original one did, and if this one doesn't, I'm gonna cancel my preorder, since it would be more like a straight repaint instead of a replica of the original twincast, which is why I liked my tfc soundblaster.

    ...eh...

Well, I understand that they're trying to save money and cut costs, but I'm paying $70 something for this guy which means they've got to be selling him over there for about $50 or so... yeash... for a toy like that they could at least do something new with it. This is just lazy.

Thankfully, I'm not an inbox collector. And I was planning on ignoring Flipsides Decepticon allegiance anyways (nice story, but doesn't interest me). So she and Twin Cast will be on my S3/Headmasters shelf. In box collectors will be trying to figure out where to put them...

It says "He transforms into a double-cassette tape deck that can store two cassettes" in English on the official e-Hobby website ever since they put up an English version of the Twincast page.

Sheesh it’s the packaging who cares, although they could have stuck and Autobot symbol on there ya but it could be worse they could have used pink polka-dots and happy flowers.

Me I can’t wait for him to arrive and have on my shelve next to Soundblaster :rock  and with TransformersCon coming up fast I can probably pick him up directly from Action Toy House [IMG]

I'm glad they're doing the releases, but I'm all for doing something right and not half assed. I can't tell if this was done to save money or effort.

For $75 a pop, they're not losing money. It's all to create higher margins for more Convoy reissues.

It's also going to be Takara's last Transformer. Everything going forward will be TakaraTomy.

Even with the cheap-assed packaging, this could be Anime Astrotrain rare. Glad I preordered.

    I don't understand.

That type of packaging for eHobby has been standard for years. Why is everyone surprised?

Because it's a Destron box rather than a Cybertron box. And Twincast is a Cybertron.

I fully expected it to have the generic e-Hobby reissue box, but figured it would have the appropriate faction. But since Flipsides is a Destron sleeper agent... *shrugs* I guess it works. Doesn't really matter to me, though, as that puppy will be out of the box within 5 minutes of it entering my house. :thumbs2:

Well, I don't keep them in the box so it doesn't bother me that much. But gosh, you'd think they'd be a little more professional than that. I do feel for the MISB collectors. So does this mean Action HQ will be shipping him soon? Because I am really pumped to be getting this guy. First Stepper, now Twincast. Bring on Autofire!

Is Twincast supposed to have a Cybertron symbol on the cassette door, where Broadcast's was?
