Nope, I'd still buy it. I have all the three KP's released.

It's just that since they're all plastic, I feel that Mirage would fit in with that more than 17 die cast figures from BT and one plastic.

Well, I'm also hoping that we see an actual, normal BT version of Mirage to go along with this clear counterpart.

Then at least I'd have one TF to look forward to for the rest of the year (after MP Megs it looks like I'm done!)

    Steve.

I'm wondering if everything is clear, like the tires.. that would look really cool.. otherwise it'd be ridiculous to see four tires rolling by. this will be awesome to get! hope to see pics soon. or i hope they add extra weapons..like a shoulder gun.

So is Robotmasters then the only Japanese line that ran its course without clear toys?

Some folks like clear toys, some don't, regardless of whether or not they make logical sense. All those clear action figures of the Fantastic Four's invisible woman make sense too, but the clear figures with seams, joints, and screws showing through in all their glory turn me right off. Some people love it, in a "visible man" sorta way, but personally I rarely like seeing both the inside and the outside of a robot at the same time, especially when they are punctuated with screws, pins, and metal parts which cannot be made transparent (tires too in this case most likely)

Anyway, since I generally don't care for clear toys, don't collect Binaltech, and already have an Alternators Mirage, it's a pretty straightforward pass for me. I think the more intersting side to this thread is the underlying question of exactly what's up with Binaltech and/or Kiss Players in Japan at this point.

I assume that other online stores will carry this product, not just e-Hooby?

This is assuming they make it crystal clear like the Invisible Woman figures. Which I doubt. It'll probably be colored clear plastic, like ML Crystal Convoy. The screws at least aren't quite so obvious using that method.

I thought they used that because Black Convoy was too big for the existing BT packaging.

I can't wait to see this clear Mirage, but I'm not sure yet how badly I'll want him. I already have Alt Mirage, so I don't really need the character, but if it doesn't cost too much more than e-hobby's selling price I may get it.

I know TFSource sells eHobby stuff so it should be available through number of channels.

Now that it's brought up, I too am concerned with screws that can be seen.

What if they are clear, plastic screws. I have seen it done.

I've tested it out and if they managed to make the cardboard stand that comes with all standard BTs smaller, it would've fit.

While I can't attest to why they went with that damned fishbowl, I can say that using the standard BT packaging could've been done.

I can see clear plastic screws working on some toys. But for something as intricate as an ALT/BT, I'm not too sure that would be a good idea. I would worry that the clear plastic screws don't have enough strength to hold an ALT/BT together.

Maybe if they somehow managed to paint some metal screws white, it may work better.

A clear Mirage has the potential to look great. Probably alot of clear blue plastic with the white parts remaining the same. Can't wait to see pics :)

It'd be cool if the stickers were somehow clear aswell. Now THAT would be awesome.
