It's the swivels at the mushroom pegs on Bumper and Quaker (and a lot of IF stuff, actually) I thought I would have problems with but though they have remained tight, they're showing no cause for concern. They're a bigger joint to brace as well when breaking (not an ideal choice of word I'll admit) the figures in. I don't like them being painted though as the tolerances are clearly designed with bare plastic in mind.

Here though, that peg is so small that trying the above could be costly. Not that it should've been painted in the first place, which would've potentially avoided the breakage entirely. Sorry to see that happen to yours. And good recommendations regarding loosening the joints too.

We'll see how mine fares. Mine is en route today.

Dammit. I was hoping they sorted out the issues with Bumper and Quaker by now. Since they aren't making any attempt to fix it by their third try I'm guessing these issues will carry over to their Grimlock and Snarl. Kinda of shitty.

Bummer about Swoop since I really liked the first two. I'll likely get it anyway and try to disassemble the legs to scrap that paint off.

Thanks for the heads up on the shock oil trick. Just ordered some off of Amazon.

Woo hoo! He arrived. I got him out and had a look at him but he's gone straight back in the box until the shock oil arrives. Those joints are scary tight! I always get nervous undoing screws fearing that I'll put them back in too tightly. Sigh, but I think I'm going to have to take the plunge here.

He is awesome mind. Excellent quality plastic, very solid feeling figure. Only thing right now that I have reservations about is the application of gold paint on his thighs. Scrappy.

Colour me impressed. Dinobot meets Dynobot. And a joyous kicking of ass resounds around the land.

This in my mind speaks to the superiority of the material IF uses over DX9 WiP, in that IF's joints are also scary tight but have not had any epidemic breakage issues.

Whats funny is his knees work loads better after the break and the bit of lube

He's still my fav' of the 3 so far and I am going to pick up the other 2 as well. For what its worth I've been transforming him a couple of times a day and posing him too and I can't see any signs of further issues.

My oil hasn't arrived yet but have successfully transformed him without breakage at this point. Maybe the knee joints were oiled by how much I sweated nervously into it.

What do you think the chances of a comics style red based redeco release of Skyer are?

From DX9? Not likely. But from the company that KO'ed Hulkie? Pretty good.

Skyer did break at the knee. Twat. So I glued it at the shin, and the irony is, the figure works far better broken. This is some next level 3P QC issue. Break the fucking thing to improve it exponentially.

Okay I put silicone oil over the knees and ankles without unscrewing it, worked the joints then repeated several times. It has loosened somewhat I have to say. Have bought a second one which I will keep as a spare anyway (I LOVE Swoop). Will open that one to make sure the figure is okay then keep it in it's box for safe keeping :)
