It's the paint. It really seems like everything was measured and tested on bare plastic, but then they added that silver paint on top and didn't account for the thickness.

Yeah, every single dx9 (and IF for that matter) with silver paint has over tight joints, mightrons arms and the one hulkie bot that has silver in his arms. with skyer it nit just paint, the knee looks like bad design, the screw goes the entire length of the knee joint which probably means it is fatally weak, as opposed to being solid plastic in a section which might have helped.

I kind of hope DX9 or someone else does these with no chrome in MP scale so we finally have some toon colored MP dinos. Biggest issue is they can't simply upsize them as they lack a lot of articulation that larger bots should have.

Now mine has broke, it's clear that the screwed in side is fine. Lovely even. Buttery smooth. It's the other side that had a painted peg where it's dodgy as all hell, tighter than a career nun and just waiting to be broken.

Hopefully they rectify this with Snarl and Grimlock #pegsnotpaint. Let's start a hashtag campaign. Let's not.

In a funny way i want to get one and have look and see for myself, be a little while. I gues if one side is a different tolerence it is twisting and tearing it off.

That's true, but they can always use the same type of transformation engineering, just in the larger scale.
The only thing that "fans" or buyers may complain about then, would be the "accuracy" of the figures.
Especially someone like Sludge whose transformation is backwards.

Me personally, I'd be all over DX9 MP Dinobots. Even if I own The GP Dinos already.
Whether the transformation is G1 or not, doesn't phase me if they look like these mini brutes. Colorwise, chrome, no chrome, DX9 are known to go full toon colors on MP sized figures. But who knows....if they're anything like these legend figures, we'd be in for a treat !!

Not a straight upscale though. These guys are lacking in the articulation department. It's ok for current scale, but MP should be better. And they need to fix some tolerance issues.

IDK. The tolerance on Sludge's leg transformation is flawed on one side, and it's not an isolated problem. The paint thickness isn't the issue, it's that the dino leg can't be pulled out far enough to clear the bot leg.

I just hope they end on a high note once Thorner (Snarl) is done because we don't need no Paddles or other add-ons trying to suck more juice from the corn stalk.

Is it just the render or is his robot chest upside down in Dino MODE ??

It wouldn't surprise me - so far they have not had the traditional predictable transformations that we expect. Even Swoop is a bit different for a pretty simple transformation scheme. I'm curious to see how they're going to pull this one off.

Pretty much this. I'm sure they didn't screw up their render; I'd guess the transformation has us spinning that around. Pretty novel idea.

This is one of the things I LOVE about these guys. The transformations are clever. Slag's in particular is very cool.

I appreciate the unique transformations, but I wish they could have designed something with more articulation. Like waist and wrist.

Anybody heard anything concrete on this? I'd heard it was this month but as we get to the middle of it I'm starting to lose hope.
