Agreed. My personal preference would also be for the seekers to stay the same height as Speedoo and other two pack figures.

 

Well DX9... Iron Factory just threw down the seeker gauntlet. I can't get both. Decisions, decisions...

 

Very nice. It's a shame I don't get the cape with the coneheads, but I stand by my decision.

 

That is seriously one slick transformation for Starscream !!
Just love how one arm hides under the cockpit in jet mode, and that cavity becomes the hiding place for the nose cone in bot mode !!!
And the tail fins and stabilizers folding up to give the cartoon look for the legs !!!

Really can't wait till DX9 upscale this sucker to MP class!!!

 

Easy choice. The DX9 versions don't have the robot arms just sitting under the wings.

I may try for both as I like them for different reasons.

 

Eeeeh, I wouldn't be so sure about that. Just because the render is at an angle where you can't see them, doesn't mean they aren't there. I'm not sure where they would end up other than under the wings. The IF seekers have better articulation (wrist, waist) and 5mm ports too.

I DO like how DX9 handled the tail wings, folding them up onto the back instead of keeping them at the feet.

 

Actually it's pretty easy to see where the arms go on the dx9 guys. And they're not under the wings.

They should make them have nullray swivel like the IFs if possible.

The conehead looks a little ... off, though. Maybe if he sported a different expression? Or was just a little smaller?
Aaah. It will probably look better in color. Also is the head on a ball or can it only turn left/right? IF's appear to be on a ball.

Waist swivel, ankle tilt and a ball joint head really let you put display figures better. Com'on DX9 get back to your WiP roots. All your legends need those extra articulation points. It is what makes Speedoo so great!

 

It's a shame these guys can't design as well as IF. I keep wanting to pick up DX9 WiP Legends but except for the Megatron, I haven't seen any that actually turned out as nice as the initial renders. Even these are looking kind of mediocre, and I was really hoping for some nice G1 legends seekers to replace the HasTak ones...

Also their scale is a bit off from everyone else's legends.

Wait for the colour tests, they look better, will repeat as I said in the other thread they should put nullRay swivel like the IFs have.

 

Will I get chastised for liking these AND Iron Factory's?

Seriously though, both sets look great for different reasons.

 

Not from me; I like both, too. I'm going to stick with these, though, because these better fit what I want for my legends shelf in terms of aesthetic and alt mode.
