Been curious if we'd get them and any more seeker repaints. Hope they release them soon.
Rainmakers are a bridge too far for me. I have no interest and will be passing on them.
Saw that same review I'd take a set of repaints from those bad boys
So over the past month I've purchased both these sets, seekers and coneheads, they are nice, but there is one issue, the the intake area worries me, specially them clipping in and the are around is stressed, hope they aren't major breakage issues.
No problems on mine yet. Just transformed them yesterday
My kids want a set of the dx9 seekers after seeing them. I want more figures from this line I have already found them on Facebook for updates
I have the same concern. I love transforming these guys, but have worried that the small tabs will eventually give way. No evidence of stressing on mine as of yet, though.
I hope dx9 plans on doing more. Iron Factory already has Sunstorm and Acid Storm..
As @Partsformer pointed out, the rainmakers are pictured on the side of ghost starscream's box, which makes it seem like they're on the agenda.
They seem a little small don't they? I drank the IF kool-aid for my seekers and a lot of other figures, so i might be biased
They're about the same size as the IF guys. Like a tenth of an inch shorter.
Here they are with GT's Megatron and IF's Shockwave. They are perfect size.
Any word on the rainmakers being solicited soon?
Got mine yesterday (clear one). Beautiful, except for the landing gear arm in jet mode. Scary to transform, and the cape is a bitch to attach.
Why? I don't have the clear, but I do have the regular.
The front leg panels are really stiff and hard to move, upper thigh swivel is really stiff, thin null-rays look fragile, I'm scared the red vent tabs will break over time (the snapping sound is scary), wing swivels are scary too, just like on the original MP-03 Greenscream...
I share your concern with the vents. That being said, I've transformed mine a BUNCH of times since he's sitting on my desk and I fiddle with him when I'm on the phone, and I don't even see any stress marks yet.
I finally broke down and ordered a set of these guys. The Iron Factory ones look sweet, but just cost waaay too much.
So I got the first set in yesterday from BBTS and holy crap this things feel tight, thin and fragile! Several parts feel like they could snap over time and the null rays really don't fit on the arms (way too tight). Sadly, my Thundercracker was missing the black piece on his shin so I sent BBTS a message. So far this is my only DX9 figures and not impressed. The MFT Hercules I got also last night and the quality on those feel much better, despite being a DX9 design.
...yikes!..sounds like you got a bad package: mine are all smooth, solid, and well put-together; i’m honestly delighted with the quality at this price point...
