This sucks. Definitely gonna have to pass. I hope some other 3P Company does this Rodimus because I really love this design. Ever since I saw the T-Beast artwork I wanted a figure of him.

Now I'm worried about their MPM Hot Rod. What's up with DX9? I thought they made good figures.

Man, 2 people have a problem and the figure is junk? How does anyone know if dx9 intentionally reused those parts as a cost saving measure? PE did it on their tm2 megatron and it's not an issue. I'll wait for someone who speaks english to do a review before i decide. I understand the paint scraping, but people cry too damn much over visible screws. It isn't fucking magic people, toys are held together with screws.o_O

If this was the first sign that DX9's quality was down the shitter lately I'd think the same as you do. But it isn't, so I don't.

Cool. You buy it then, but many of us may not. Unintentional asymmetry like that can be unpleasant and jarring, especially when it was never present in any of the promo pics. Some companies will even include plugs with their toys to remove the appearance completely. I'm not beholden to spend MY money on something just because it's "good enough", I want my piece to meet my display standards.

I'll wait and see how GT does.

Besides the obvious wrong assembly problem in the parts (not a cost saving measure BTW because some of the pics show the same part on another Ancestord without the screw hole in the front), the 1st guy also reported loose joints, and the 2nd guy reported no't even legs, and a bad review weeks ago from Taiwan reviewer.
Plus, DX9's recent release 1st batch history is like a trainwreck. Pretty much every DX9 1st batch toys have some issue here and there. (My own experience: pre-ordred DX9 Gabriel, which the left and right legs need to be swapped...) I'm sure you can find more than enough examples if you check around.

This figure looks really nice. I wonder if he's part of a gestalt group.

Got mine today, no major problems so far, but I did got the "outward screwholes" thing on his left arm, but that's mostly hidden by the armor bits so no biggie there for me.

The 4 shield bits on the shoulder/hips are connected by ball joints. The ball on my right shoulder is a tad bit malformed, so the shield could only attach but not stay in in place for posing; currently on future polish treatment...

But I do have some worries on the ratchets they used on the hips...

Those are some really tiny ratchets on some really extreme angle there, and it looks like they could break on repeated movement of those parts. I suggest pulling out on the thigh to rotate them when posing them, then release to settle them in as opposed to indulging your usual click-click addictions. Better be safe than sorry.

One last note: I suggest doing some test fitting before plugging the swords/guns into the holes on his forearms. Those are seriously tight, you guys might want to do some minor sanding/filing on the holes(because modding the gun/sword handles might affect his ability to hold them)

It’s taken so long to get him to release and he’s riddled with issues...

DX9, what happened? You had the reputation for most solid 3P, quality wise! It seems as designs are improving, quality is declining. I much prefer the aesthetics of this to GT’s efforts but at least the latter makes a quality product

I’ll wait for an improved KO. If they want my money, they need to get their shit together first.

Yeah, I've always been a big DX9 fan in terms of design and presentation, but their QC department must have been fired or resigned or secretly replaced by a bunch of drunk chimps or something. It's very disappointing.

It's quite strange that DX9 doesn't take care of their reputation...

Dumb question, is GT doing a t-beast Hotrod as well or did I just imagine that?

If they are not, I might have to pick this one up.....

Riddled with QC issues? Are we going off photos from one guy or have more people had issues? I want to know if this is the case and your not being hyperbolic before I pull the trigger. Otherwise I'll wait for GT.
