I always felt that MP-09, in the Rodimus Prime mode, looked like a bureaucrat. The Autobots will never be audited by the IRS on his watch.

I think Carry's proportions gives him heroic stature and makes him feel like a worthy successor to Optimus.

I still don't get why this figure which is based on Rodimus (not Hot Rod) includes a Targetmaster and not a photon rifle and Takara's MP Hot Rod 2.0 has no Targetmaster.

IMO, if you took this and removed some of the unnecessary detailing and created a mechanism to swap the wheels from the front of the arms to the back this guy would look a lot more in line with the MP aesthetic.

I'd actually love to get one but man, the prices here are pretty prohibitive. AUD$200 if I'm lucky. Bit much to spend on something that isn't going to be a centerpiece for me.

Hmm. I thought the Reprolabels set was good, that's better.

Maybe. Clean up a lot of the extra greebles (they stand out versus other early MP linework in that the detailing is a lot heavier - MP-10, MP-13 had subtle lines and detailing to add some interest. Carry takes it a bit more extreme). It also needs the arm swap mechanism you mentioned and a new, more rounded head - the angular Ox head is pretty far off the G1 look.
It also needs a nice glossy paint job! Carry's more matte effect paint job doesn't look as nice as the high gloss look of other car bots.

Doesn't fix the teeny-tiny alt mode though. It was a clever way to do an all in one transformation but the resulting truck is tiny. It might be an interesting remould project for DX-9 though.

Personally I either want an improved KO of MP-09 or FansToys to do a Rodimus influenced by their Hoodlum so the two look good together.

Seriously - why has no-one KO'd MP-09 with better joints and higher quality plastic? We've got MP-10 in every size, shape and colour you can poke a stick at but no-one want's to touch Rody!

Does anyone know if there was an add-on kit created to extend Carry's forearms?

15 bucks plus shipping is a lil much, its almost easier to get the stickers and spoiler. Im still deciding on it.

Yes, but I couldn't bring myself to use the blue font. I'd sooner get the sticker and spoiler set as well but can't justify the price on it either.

$10 for the spoiler would be reasonable for me.

So is it semi-permanent, or must it be reinstalled every time you transform?
